I wonder if it will have the "Fly Home" feature since it has a GPS.

Who knows? This could be a major game changer. Apparently Tarot makes one of the best TRex clones on the market. Depending on the final "as shipped" specifications, there could be a few more auto-piloted helis in the air.

And I just bought... And wrecked my Naza-H... Now Tarot comes out with a complete system at nearly the replacement cost of the Naza-H GPS unit itself. (I suffered a boom strike, cutting the cable to my GPS unit... I'm told DJI will be happy to sell me a new one... Again...)

Ok... Well, it is what it is... I will wait to see how good this system is. The demo flight looks interesting, but would still like to know what features it will have, like GPS hold, Return To Home, and semi-auto take off and landing...

Splicing the cable is not an option?

I may end up doing the repair... I am currently awaiting DJI's response to my repair request. I will keep folks updated in the Naza-H threads...

Yeah, I can't speak the their electronics, but their helicopter parts are top quality. I've got a number of their parts on my machines.

Oh man, they leaked some info about a Tarot camera mount too! I'm super excited about that!

I would not be surprised if we go through a couple of months of "leaks" about this product. It seems to be standard "suspense" marketing. First, a video on an obscure site in Asia. Then there are a couple of pics and maybe a couple of more videos. Next, the North American dealers start taking pre-orders on "real soon now" deliveries. Then the dealers get one or two units to test out and release even more tantalizing "suspense" tidbits. Finally the product arrives. At this point, the end users turn it into something that works.

I've seen this happen quite a few times over the last four years or so.

Do you have a link on the camera mount "leak"?

There's a photo of the gears for the mount mixed in with the photos of this controller.

when is this unit expected to hit the consumer market? cause I have a empty trex 500 clone air frame that I'm going to build up as a fbl 500 and maybe would like to use it for a small av rig.

To paraphrase the Great Ones,

Let it be. Let it be.
Let it be. Let it be.
There will be no answer.
Let it be.

Its called "suspense marketing".

I had a look at the Tarot site last night, and they have now posted a ZYX-GS Gimbal Stabilizer on the marquee of the main page. I'm wondering if this is the released version of the gimbal stabilization system they mentioned on Infinity Hobby's site?

So weird, why do they have this pan axis pulley, but no gimbal?

http://www.0577mx.com/products_view.asp?id=4158

They have some interesting looking anti-vibe systems too:

Interesting, but not as good as I hoped. Looks like the Cinestar gimbal but with 70% less cheezy plastic tube clamps. Still, I hoped they'd do something new and well designed.

I sent an email out to Infinity Hobby to ask them about an update on the Tarot APS. Here is the reply I got:

Thank you for your inquiry. Tarot APS is not ready yet and the manufacturer hesitate to give us a firm date of availability. As we know, Tarot are coming out several products recently but still struggling to prioritize and smooth out their development and production for some reasons (mainly due to resource constraint). Anyway, please keep an eye on our website for timely update.

Have a nice day!

Regards,
Infinity Hobby
