Default BL800H DOA

I started building a 800 Pro for a friend and found one of the cyclic servos to be dead.
I know these are things that can happen to anybody so at the request of the owner I opened (forget the warranty) the servo.
To be honest, after building lots of Align helis , this is the first time I encounter a problem with any of their electronics.
The bolts holding the case were tight enough.
What called my attention was the lack of grease on the metal gears.
Also was thinking about the need (or not) to put electrical tape between the servo and the bottom of the case in order to prevent shorts.

Now that's a surprise, especially the electrical tape or foam

Are these gears titanium as in their 600 series servos? The gears look heavy duty.
As far as the lack of lube, yes, maybe its a thin coating of a polymer lube. As for the tape or foam maybe they were thinking of not insulating to aid in heat dissipation.
You may want to request sending it in anyway they may discount a replacement.

There was NO electrical tape or foam in the servo from the factory
I was thinking about doing it as a precaution.

Yep I would do the same. As to aiding heat dissipation,
Not worth the risk.
