Is anything preassembled or is it a full kit?

Everyone must be too busy building to post an unboxing.

Well... Not a video, but here's some pictures of the packaging... Everything looks pretty good so far. Some of the parts are assembled, but I will still be double checking for thread locking compound. Looking through the packages everything looks nice, but the proof will be when the assemble starts to see how everything fits. I am especially interested in seeing how the carbon fiber has been finished. The edges are a good tell in the quality of a kit. Some of the other brands I have assembled are pretty rough ( splintered edges of the cf ) and others have been excellent.

I'm probably not going to do a full build documentation, just touch on the items that seem to need addressing...

Until the build begins, to the pix!

Awesome, I hope Helifreak does a first Blade build video. I wonder how it flies compared to the 500x?

Update: head finished. The parts that I thought were pre assembled were just that. They *need* to be disassembled. The screws weren't tight at all, except for the ball links in the swash, those are assembled with thread locker. The head is smoothe. The swash is superb. Extremely smoothe and free moving. The blade grips are a little tight on the feathering spindle with the bolts fully tightened. I'm hoping they will free up a bit after everything breaks in. Here's another picture to torture you poor souls.

Everything's going together great. I'm really impressed with the quality. Once again, anything pre-assembled has to be taken apart and threads locked. The only things missing IMO are the spacers that go into the servo grommets. You can't completely tighten the servo screws and have to rely on the thread locker to keep the screws from coming out. The CF is finished really nicely on the edges. The only error I have encountered so far is where they tell you to use thread locker on the landing gear bolts that go into nylock nuts.

Here's a picture so far. More to come this evening.

So awesome!!!!!!!!

Gonna go collect cans and save up for this one! Naw, seriously though - awesome to finally see some pics here!

Question - is the combo box the same as the kit box? I'm not seeing which is which.

Unfortunatly that one isn’t mine. One of the guys at the field was finishing the setup on it. I had not seen one of these before and all I can say is this thing is awesome and way bigger than I imagined. Kind of made my 450x look like an mcpx sitting next to it. Did I say it was awesome?
