Default Need help on RotorTech 480 Blades - think i got betrayed

i bought used blades, but was stupid enough to not use paypal as payment option, yeah i know.....

can someone tell me how long Rotortech 480 FBL Blades are?
from hole to bladetip?
overall length?

does this tip looks like original? i think thats not the case, if i compare pictures in online stores the tip looks different.

thank you.

480mm. The ones you got are cut down, Fun-Key would never produce blades with exposed foam/spar/lead. Here's what your typical RT tip looks like:

Thats what i thought, never seen tips before where you can see the inside foam.

the 480mm - is this the hole2tip length? just want to be sure.

It is bolt to tip. No major brand ever named their blades after the overall length

Wow that is so disappointing to see a fellow modeler do that to anyone. It is a shame that we must end up treating each other with distrust due to a handful of sour grapes that wander among us.

Oh my, that's horrible, what a butcher job on some awesome blades. I hope you find a quick and painless resolution to this.

My question is why anyone would cut the tips off of some blades like that?

That can't be more than like 5-10mm shorter.

Maybe the seller cut it off because it was a bit too long? Main blades hitting the tail blades? In any case cutting off the tip on any main blade is a bad idea.

I have RotorTechs on my stretched Atom and the tip look just like the one in the pic Johnny/Jonas posted.

Got my money back!

they were cut from 480mm to 470mm! The ironic part was, i bought them because i just wanted little longer blades than my 475mm and ended up with even shorter blades, lol.

edit: they seller sold them as NEW, never used before...it was not here on HF!

Excellent outcome. I can't believe the seller would sell them as new.

I own lots of Rotortech blades and those are definitely not normal or flyable....

They have a very specific tip design and that ain't it!!!

Glad it worked out in the end, who the heck would trim blades and think it is ok....

They are very flyable, just not as advertised. Sue the crap out of the seller.

Let it go. He didn't get "away" with it. The buyer got his money back, and a set of useless blades. Please explain how getting your money back let's the seller "get away with it" What would suing the guy get you that you haven't got already?
