Nano CP X tips

It would be good to find a glue that doesn't take hours and hours to harden. Last time I used batroom silicone, shoe fixing glues and such it took forever to dry.

Using it on threads seems obvious, but are you implying this could be used as a replacement for the rubber cement holding the motor etc?

Hot glue. Stole this idea from someone on here and use it everywhere now. When you get good with it, it actually looks better than the white silicone stuff!

Yeah, I use it quite a bit but for my helis I keep forgetting it. One thing with hot glue, could be good, could also be very annoying, it doesn't stick very well. Especially not on surfaces that had silicone on them previously. But I guess nothing but silicone will stick to silicone.

For the nano I think hot glue will do, thanks for the tip.

I'be been using hot glue for many years. But it has some downsides:
-kinda stiff
-doesent' stick too well on all surfaces
-hard to add only a thin layer = adds a lot of weight on small stuff like this

Would rather recommend ShoeGoo or something similar here... some kind of thinner ShoeGoo would have been perfect! Maybe it could be thinned out with some kind of solvent???

I've ordered some glue and rubber cement to try out...

Pretty interesting... sounds like a great product. Very inexpensive, and exactly what's needed.

Bicycle inner tube glue is Rubber cement.. and it comes in a tiny , convenient little tube.
any bike store wil have this.. Or a hardware store.

This stuf works VERY well on PETG canopies.. It bond extremly well for what it is..
Kinda like really flexible white glue..
Dont eat it though.. doesnt quite taste the same .....

Anyone know what's the white flexible adhesive on the motor connectors? Is that 'white glue' also? Where can I get some of that?

It is tile and bath caulk. I had heard it before, and I asked a HH tech too. This is what I was told.

Not silicone caulk it is way to brittle. Most likely some industrial compound we will never see.

You're probably thinking of the putty/plaster/whatever that's between tiles normally. Yes, that stuff is brittle. The silicone that normally is used in corners and where floor and walls meet is very elastic, that's one of the reasons it's used in the first place. I guess building codes differ around the world.

There are products for similar usage but based on latex, just as flexible but doesn't smell ammonia and won't ruin the surface and forever making it impossible for paints and other adhesives to work properly, since its silicone free.

The annoying thing is that all the products I know of take forever to harden, so I'm also looking for something more suitable. Breaking/replacing something and then having to wait like 6-12 hours is not an option. There might not even be a product that hardens like CA with the properties of silicone caulk.

Closest thing is probably shoegoe, liquisole, or any of the glues used to repair neoprene wetsuits. Macnett might have something that's close enough and doesn't take days to harden.

So, on a forum for what is basically toys for adults, in a thread with tips on getting the most out of what we just purchased, started by a rep from blade helis you find it appropriate to get off topic to let everyone know what you consider is a childish, pointing out I must be extremely annoyed in life because I rather fly my nano after a quick fix, instead of waiting for glue to set for 6-12 hours. I'm pretty sure the thread starter wouldn't their mind customers getting their helis back in the air quicker. Honesty does not make it less rude or more on topic, if you feel the urge to further police my personality use a private message please.

An apologie is probably in order, not just from you. To everyone expecting to find tips on your nano I apologize for getting sucked into this off-topic drama. It was hard not to respond publicly to the comment I got.
