If you want to fly an RC plane but don’t think getting used to flying with a standard RC remote this glove control system might be a build that could help you fly. It has some interesting features that help to make flying the plane more intuitive such as simply tilting your hand from side to side to bank the plane instead of moving a joystick.
“The Spatial Hand Remote project is a way to intuitively fly a remote control airplane. The idea is to use track the position of the right hand so that a remote control airplane can follow the same orientation as it flies. In its most basic form, the plane will be able to be controlled by the movement of the right hand so that any movement made by the hand will also be made by the plane.
The device will utilize an accelerometer to track the position of a glove on the right hand. The accelerometer will measure the angles made by the hand by using gravity as a common reference direction. Figure 1 shows the relationship between the hand and plane movement. As the hand tilts to the left or right, the plane will turn in that corresponding direction. Similarly, if the hand tilts upward or downward the plane will go up or down."
