Does anyone know if you setup the tail in rate mode so you don’t get any drift on the tail or do I setup the tail in HH mode, Finless bob is setting up in the centre of travel on the pitch slider but when you do this you get bad drift as the tail goes to the left and the nose turns clockwise

Basically what I am trying to say is the manual does not say to setup in rate mode so you must have to setup in HH mode with equal travel both on left and right on the tail? But I know someone that has had a disagreement with Jason from align about this

I am not getting any drift in HH mode centered slider! Did you see any drift in the video when I went into the hover? No..... I setup just like the manual said and it worked.

Just make sure you have the latest single bearing set in the tail grips. That seems to be the biggest problem I have seen with others in my area that have 250's.

FYI my final gain using GEAR channel travel adjust is 26 on travel adjust. That is 18% true gain (26 / 1.44). Same gain muber I use for the Solid G and JR770 gyro on smaller helis.

Bob, I dont know if this is inappropriate to ask. Can we get your honest opinion of which heli you like to fly better between the Gaui and the 250 and why? I had a gaui v1 and have the 250 and I personally think the 250 feels much more stable.

When winds dropped I had no wag problems!

I think the people complaining of the tail expect a rock solid heli like a 500 or something can deliver! Sorry guys... the 200's and 250's are a FUN experiment and NOT a solid preforming heli like larger ones are. Gaui is the same!
As Bert Kammerer said... this sized heli is really NOT what you should start out with!!!! My best skills helped me fly this heli in that kind of wind. A n00b is going to have nothing but trouble PERIOD!

This sized heli is a novelty made for people that already know how to fly and get one for FUN..... If your a n00b... I suggest a 450 at the minimum!

I hope i will be able to enjoy it.

I fly rc airplanes for about 15 years and for the last 5 years i didnt fly prop plane anymore, only rc turbine jet.

If i cant make it, i will look to the bigger T-Rex 500.

I dont know why, but i'm amazed by such a little thing!!

Default Ideal Swash Height

Bob,
Thanks for putting the videos together...GREAT AS ALWAYS!!

I noticed that I had binding at full negative as well when I set her up and to compensate very easily, I just raised the bottom end of my pitch curve so the swash wouldn't go too far down.

But to get identical pos/neg pitch, what did you use for swash height (bottom of swash to top of frame)?

Thanks!

ps Obviously this question is open to everyone if they want to chime in.

I've just received my 250 and the build is finished. The gyro (GP750) is set (or at least I think it is), but when in HH, and I move the the stick side to side in quick succession, the servo doesn't centre. Is this normal for this Gyro? Or is it because of the setting for a small heli? Have I stuffed up the setup? Or is there something wrong with it?

I'm not gain to fly yet until I see the servo re-centre in HH.

It is normal not to center in HH>. In rate mode it will center..

All my other helis and their gyros (401, 601, 611), all centre in HH if you toggle the rudder stick side to side in quick succession. Any reason why the GP750 doesn't then? Maybe it's the 420 servo?

It's a Possibility. I've never used any other Gyro but Futaba before. Can anyone clarify?

I think that's a Futaba thing, my Solid-G's don't do that either.
