That's good news Ingolf...I had a good conversation with Danny this weekend when he called me on some unrelated business...After speaking with him about the factory saying we should have been on 100 HZ all along (especially since the transmitter was defaulted to 100HZ), I feel pretty confident in my 770 rebuild...and if it goes well I will put another R3 in my Speed Goblin so I can get telemetry again...

The R3 wiring is very clean.

Here is an R3 installed on my TDR. I made custom short cables to run from the R3 to the FBL controller and to the JLog.

I like to install an extra servo housing with all three gold crimp connectors installed (no wires) in the slot next to the receiver PPM output (UDI someday) just to help firm up that connection and reduce the chance of it becoming unplugged.

I just checked them all and I don't have the play you described. I can just barely move the antenna wires in the R3 on my Protos, but not the other two.

I opened up another R3. Same thing. Most concerning is the rattling when lightly shaken.

How hard are they to open? I've never tried. It seems that an internal layer of gyro tape might secure the board as well as provide some compliant "anti-vibration" function. So far, I've not had a problem although I'm only running the small receivers on my electrics and turbine which have very low vibration. My nitro is flybarred so running a full-size R7.

Sorry... I meant I opened the package, not the RX case itself.

Here's a vid. First part doesn't show much.

Edit: didn't show up. Will have to figure it out later.

Well...happy to say I got a couple of uneventful flights on my Goblin 770 today. First successful flights for the 770 since changing to the Jeti System. I am not feeling that listening to someone...don't remember who told me or where I read it...that changing the tranmitter from the default 100hz to 50hz was a $700 mistake for me...hopefully going to try to get some more flights on the 770 tomorrow....but frinken cold weather and possibility of snow has again come back to Muncie, IN...this winter will never end!!!

I wasn't really happy with tubes going through the top, so I'm using these guides which hold the wires at 90 degrees. I used to have the Duobro tubes covering the whole antenna wire with end caps on, but I found I kept bending and breaking the tubes in transport.

Good suggestion.

I freshly crimped these connectors and they are quite tight, but I'll think about adding those.

No kidding. Glad your 770 is in the air and working at last Greg. You have some very interesting flights to forget.
