Help, my HB FP won't fly
I bought the HB second hand, as it was cheap and seemed to be a good step up from my Blade MCX and borrowed CX2.
I am a total beginner to helis, and dont understand a lot of it, but am hoping someone can give me some ideas? Basically, on full throttle, it will only get around 3 - 4 inches off the ground. I have watched as many vids as I can find on setting them up, tried various batteries (just in case) and nothing I do seems to make any difference The paddles and swash plate are flat (thats about the extent of my 'knowledge' so far lol) the blades wont adjust as far as I can tell..... I am really stuck.... help?? Thanks Beccy |

Sounds like your blade tracking is off. If one of the blades tracks lower than the other you will not get any or very little lift. I had the same issue with my HBFP. You can bend the blade to correct tracking. Check the following link for info on tracking:

I bet your battery is worn out. They can only do so many charges before they lose power, even faster if they've been overcharged and overdischarged.
And the HBFP is an excellent next step from a co-ax. |

thank you for your suggestions. I will get it out of the box (it's in disgrace lol) and have a look at the blades.
Not sure about the batteries. The bloke I bought it from had only had a go with it 3 times, before he decided it was too difficult for him. It was imacculate when I got it, and I totally believed him, about only trying 3 times. I bought another battery, and tried all 3 of them with no luck Trust me to buy a RTF that wont Guess I have a busy afternoon ahead Thanks Beccy |

I would check how the motor is meshing with the main gear. It should be very easy to spin the main blades by hand. If the gear is binding then you need to move the motor pinion slightly away from the main gear. Also, it could be the case that the motor is defective.
