She definitely has a presence that the 500EFL can't match. I'm much more comfortable flying the 500. Believe it or not, but the 500EFL feels closer to the way the 600EFL flies than the 450. My 450's have always been twitchy. I like the 500 as it's looking to be my new workhorse as it's still quite affordable to crash vs. the 600.

ACE RC GT5 FBL system
I²RC swash and low height head block
Mini pyro with HW 60A
Full size BLS254 on tail

Flies beautifully even at the lower headspeed (1400 kv motor)

Have the old main gear and pinion on because of a mishap (no soft start stripped the gear) waiting for a slant gear replacement

Love this bird and the new canopy looks killer

Hi Helibenj how did you fit a full size servo for tail was gonna do the same when I get mine

Had to Dremel off below and front of the cut out. If I remember correctly you have to enlarge by 4 mm. HAve to take the plastic off on the same sides also, then redrill holes for the screws. On the side with remaining plastic I just used the screws, the side without plastic got rubber grommet and eyelet. You can use a spacer instead. Not a difficult job, you just have to measure and plan well and you'll get there with a cutting wheel and a round file for the corners

Been It's been a windy day today - but I just had to maiden her. These pics are the aftermath - a brilliant maiden and I'm looking forward to many more such flights.

Thanks to everyone on here, all of whom have been so helpful, either privately or publicly, either directly in response to my questions, or indirectly by posting their own questions - your input is much appreciated.

Hope you enjoy the pics - oh, BTW - my bird is not 'dressed' for flying, the grommets are not yet in place so I flew without the canopy, wanting to get the test-flight done before risking the canopy.
