I'm hoping to see it soon as well. I was looking to buy a 500 Pro Dfc but it seems they are out of stock at most places. I'm betting the dominator version will swing 500mm blades. I may be the only one that hopes not. I wanted the current 500 size because it is a bit smaller than my Goblin 500 but larger than my 450 dominator.

If the 500L is a true 500 I may have to pass since it will be close to my Goblin. At least I'll find a good deal on a used 500 pro.

I'm pretty sure it will be 465-475 blade size. 500 would be too close to their 550, which originally shipped with 525 blades.

470 blades is a nice size.
On the 500 with 425's, with 2kg it needed some nice HS to move. It was spining a 3226-1400 with 14t pinion, nice balance to don't kill packs, but i started to prefer the agility of the sport stretched to 360, longer flights with more agility.
470 must make a nice feeling heli, if it's not overbuilt/heavy.

Well 450-475 would be great. I assumed since the 550 dominator is swinging 550 blades the 500 would follow suit.

Great, the 500 pro just came back in stock but now I want the details on the dominator before pulling the trigger!!

forgive my ignorance but what are the advantages of a 500L pro over the standard 500 pro. i have a trex 450 pro dfc not the dominator and it fly's great. so is there a performance difference or assembly difference or is everything just a little bigger?

Bigger (people have wanted a true 500 from Align since forever) and a better design with the motor up top for better CG and the battery sliding in on a tray for much easier and more secure battery placement.

Plus, new = fun and the basic frame for the current 500 has been around in one form or another for years!

Putting the pack in the frame has it's plus, but it also makes the heli heavier.
Shouldn't be a problem with 470's.
It is a bit like the X4II, flies heavy on 425, but is more balanced on 470's.

thanks for clearing some things up for me. my next build is gonna be the trex 500 pro, it looks like the perfect size and still wont kill your wallet in a crash.

Hey guys and gals new to this thread as i have been flying blades for a couple years now. But my next heli is going to take me into the Align world. A weird lucky twist of fate might have saved me. I was ready to order my 500 Pro and bam our washer takes a shit. As soon as i get the money together again i see they are out of stock and the model is coming soon Needless to say i was little excited when I found out I almost got the "older" version.
