Default White gear rubs against frame.

The white gear barely rubs against my frame. I have loosened my tail belt and tried messing with the gear to see if it was something mechanical I messed up on. Has anyone heard of this and a solution for it?

Look at my post "new Warp some issues" a view topics below this post. Double check you have the spacer between the maingear and bearing.

I used a dremel to remove some of the frame area where it would rub slightly.

Okay sweet I will give that a try, thanks. Is the photo you posted of your warp after dremeling? How did you get it to look so clean if it is?

Yes, the photo is after. I used a fine micro file and did it without even removing the main gear. I have 20 years of practice in the trades fields so my filing skills are sharp:-D

I believe if you sand the maingear and build it correctly this shouldn't be nessesary.

I built mine correctly but decided to take a bit off the frame rather than mess with the white ring around the main gear.

It's actually a bit of a design flaw on the Warp(that or machining inaccuracies) and not a build issue. You will notice that the Warp's main gear and tensioner pulley don't line up perfectly. The main gear sits slightly too low. You are right though that sanding or trimming the main gear plates helps but, on my build and a few others, that still wasn't enough. Mine just barely touched at one spot still. I could have pulled the main gear and sanded the side plates on glass to make them even thinner or sanded the shim in between the lower main bearing and upper hub bearing but, that was far more work then taking a few passes off the corner or the frame where it touched.

Compass should really slightly tweak the design so the main gear and tensioner pulley line up properly or include different size shims so the builder can shim it imo.

I am running the fusuno frames. They seem to provide a bit more space.

The last time I had an issue with my main gear rubbing the frame my top bearing block was a bit bent.

Default White gear rubs against frame.

I don't run it at all! Just the gear.
It doesn't need it.

Sand them, don't over tighten the bolts, build precisely, no problems

Hi, no not all the belt is in a happy place, I guess the pulley guide keeps it where it should.

Can you post a pic of your warp without the white guides?
