So all they changed is the main frame to accept the OS105 with a bigger gear, 115T from the original 111T main gear.

I hope they didnt change anything else, i have allot invested in my G4 with a wren 44 that i want to be able to fly for many years. So parts and availability is what im concerned with.

This heli flys too damn good, easily my favourite heli so far.

Well, Amerang says it's the pinion. You can get a 15T for the bell. But this lower it down to 7.4.
I olso hope it is the 115T main gear.
So, who is ride!.

Frans.

The frames have changed to allow the 115 main gear and the bell cranks have changed to the same as the e820

The 800 size bell cranks, can they be used on the old G4 720. They look beefy, i would like to use on my 90 size G4.

No they can't unless u modify the frames the new bell cranks have pan head screws on the inside of the frame to allow larger motors

They also strengthened the main shaft bearing blocks and grip plates.

Any thought about complete parts list to upgrade G4 body for new 115T main gear? Seems like frame width still the same or not? If so, need to buy new frame (2 parts), new main gear support block - and that's all? Or something loose?

Complete list of updated parts

I have the G4.1 on pre order, should make a good companion for the E820, since all the updated parts are the same.
I was hoping they would update the canopy, as I really don't like the G4/E720 style, however the E820 is great, I might actually use it instead, I do have a spare for the E820, maybe just scribble out the E820 and write G4.1, haha

There were a couple of things wrong the manual, just typo's etc with a couple of bolts and the bag labels.

I have built a few of the new gen TT's, so wasn't hardly looking at the manual, but it might confuse someone new to TT's

Shim the tail gears - shims are not provided, I found some to fit from my other heli's.
Also shim the elevator arm - shims also not included
Pin the boom - extra step not in manual
Added extra security on the gear pins - I use heat shrink

Other notes about the kit:
The head block was not printed with G4 - its just blank
The canopy came in an E700 box - canopy is painted with G4.1 tho
