Default Belt Drive Kit on Ebay

Hi,
I have found this kit on ebay

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...sPageName=WDVW

What do you guys think? £15 and a bit of tinkering sounds better then paying £80 for a heliup kit.

Would like your input.

Cheers,
Wayne.

Just off the top of my pointed little head: roughly $25-30.

OK,
I have bought the ebay belt drive. thought i would post pics of my progress in the hope that it will benefit others.

OK, following the instruction from tauscnc's web site http://www.cuttingedgecnc.com/shogun400.htm#My%20Belt%20Drive%20Version!

Firstly i cut the elevator assemebly so that it lay's flat on a surface. This is so that it clears the pully that will fit onto the main gear.

I then took the main gear and tapped out the one way bearing. I fliped the main gear over and put the bearing in the other way.

Next, I cut the sides of the main frame so that the main gear can ride lower on the main shaft. It needs to ride lower so that the belt pully is level with the opening of the boom so that the belt can enter the boom.

I will post the next stages as I do them.

Cheers, Wayne.
