Bugger so a tad too short. If you remove the cano I assume it fits ok? put it under the tail maybe?

1500mm would still be tight but should do it. Do you need to put it in a bag then? There is a place that does custom ones but can't remember the site

Default Tarot 700 bag for TREX 800?

I have an Align 800e PRO DFC. Does anyone know if it will fit in this bag?

That's a great find at that price! I had not seen that bag before. Based on the specs quoted on the hawk creations website it looks like it will be darn close, maybe a cm short but might stretch just enough.

I have an airframe I am building up now that is based on the 800 DFC pro but it's a little longer with the canopy on and the bag I have found that fits is the Goblin 770 bag.

Well, I ordered one. Figured that if the TREX 800 won't fit with the canopy on, it probably will without the canopy, and if worse comes to worse, I'll use it on a future 700.

Only place I found to order from is China, so will be a few weeks, but when it gets here I will report back

Yeah you can't go far wrong at $59.00. I could not find a new Goblin bag anywhere but luckily found someone selling one 2nd hand in great shape. It looks insanely long and then as soon as you start putting the heli in you realise actually it's not so long! There was one other 800 size bag I saw - I can't remember the brand name now, but it was a lot more expensive.

Got the Tarot 700-size bag yesterday. The good news is that it’s a really nice bag and great value for the money.

However, it does NOT fit the Trex 800e DFC, even with canopy off.

Oh well, it was worth a try, and it will be great to have it when I get a 700

Bummer. I'll keep an eye out for something. There was another brand bag I saw a while back, I'll try to find it again.

This is the other one I was looking at a few weeks ago, it shows out of stock at the moment but the dimensions look good, 59 inches long.

I just ordered the SAB Goblin 630/700/770/Urukay Competition/Speed Carry Bag (posts 25 & 26 above).

Found it at BKHobbies.com:
https://www.bkhobbies.com/product-p/hm060.htm

$99 and good timing because everything on the site is 10% off today with code JULY4.

I had almost given up finding one in stock anywhere in world, but there it was. When I just went there to post the link, though, it now shows out of stock, so I might have gotten their last one.

Looks like this one was purpose-built for the Trex 800. Nice and tall. If it comes in stock and you get one, let us know how you like it.

I just realised that one is slightly different from the SAB bag I have. Mine just has one zipper on top, so it basically has a top piece that is split with the zipper in the middle. That one appears to have two zippers so that the whole top piece peels back. Mine is easily 150cm long though. The handles are also different.

At some point I'd like to find something that will fit my Shape S8. Even the SAB bag doesn't quite do it, it's not tall enough so the rotorhead and blades have to stick out the top and there's not enough space for the canopy. But it's the biggest bag I have so far.

I don't really want to spend crazy money but at this point I also don't want to get something else unless it absolutely fits the S8 :-o

Default possible avenue to explore

I have to investigate further but this looks promising: kitesurfing board bags. Specs on one of them are 160cm X 45 cm X 25cm which is getting darn close. Just need to see a bit more, what they look like inside, where the zipper runs etc:

https://www.powerkiteshop.com/access...withwheels.htm

This looks perfect except it's quite heavy: https://www.dakine.com/en-gb/bags/tr...rd-bag-155-cm/

Soooo, I think I may be onto something here.
