In Nitro trim it basically feels like an electric that smokes.

I honestly think that this airframe, is the most flexible IC design on the market right now. It can carry anywhere from 4 to 20oz of fuel, swing a 550 to 620mm blade with a decent selection in gear ratios, in either gas or nitro trim.
If only it was available to us mere mortals...

Default price and release

Hello everybody,

This kit looks very interesting for me. Now I have two or three questions.

- Is it possible to use as YS91 ST engine ?
- how high will be the price for that kit?
- When will be the release date? Because on the HP says available in fall 2016.

Thank you for your feedbacks

  • there are both glow and gas versions
  • technically you can use any glow engine that has a .9x format crankcase however I don't recommend you use anything larger than a .96 as you may have issues with vibration
  • $479 for either version
  • I have a small number of kits packed, I'd like to get them in the store next week.
  • I'll also have a couple of Sports editions GT15-600 engines

I have had good luck with an OS105 running a Dubro 14oz tank and getting 7+ minutes of flight time. Very little load on the OS105 with this size of heli and it is "Very" powerful as you would expect..

Since I can't create a new thread, I'll post on this one:
How do I recreate the nose down stance after this upgrade?

As you may (or may not) know, the racked stance on the ground is done in the Goblin 570's frame - not the landing gear struts. There is no "front" or "back" strut - they are both the same.
Since the nitro conversion kit uses the bottom plate to mount the engine, the side-frames are designed such that the bottom plate is "true" / "square" to the top-deck.
And, that eliminates the nose-down rack when resting on the landing gear.

"Who cares?" right?
Well, in my case, the tail squats down as the rear strut flexes as the weight settles - and the tailrotor blades dig into the dirt.
I've changed from the old style CF skids to the "Sport" style skid-pipes and because the struts are the same type of plastic, it is still a problem.

If I wrap a Velcro battery strap around the two skid-pipes behind the rear skid, I can cinch the strap tight and draw the skid-pipes closer. That will raise the tail about 1" and they don't flex under the helis weight.

If this was a Trex 700N, I would just add a 2nd set of rear skids.

Any suggestions?

Default G570 gear ratio

Is there a smaller drive pulley available than the stock 34 tooth that comes with the conversion kit? Id like to make a little more torque swinging rail 606s.

32 or 36 tooth pulleys can be special ordered, also requires a different belt to adapt the different setups
