Default Dissimilar buddy box Tx

Thinking about trying a heli with a 6 ch heli radio linked to a basic 4 ch Skysport.
The Heli radio would be the powered one.

When the trainer button is pushed, do the sticks in the 4 ch essentially replace the ones in the heli radio? Then all the mixing and pitch curves programmed in the heli Tx stay in effect? And switches, like idle up, are still active?

I know buddy boxing is standard when learning planking, but most of us heli pilots(which is at least twice as hard as flying airplanes) do not rely on buddy boxing. Sim, sim, sim. When you fly alone, you learn everything in the right sequence. First, just learning to get off the ground. The last thing a newbie needs to do is loops/rolls, but rely on his buddy to take-off/land for him. Stay safe keep simmin.

I had a friend buddy box me on his raptor 30 we i first started (a whole 8 months ago lol) and i found that it really helped. i think alot of my problem with lifting off was not knowing how a heli felt or reacted once it was in the air, the whole fear of the unknown thing. im now helping one of my friends sons get into the air and am starting him off on the sim but i will b buddy boxing him on my 500 when hes ready. Its a big +1 from me on buddy boxing helis for hover training atleast. it build confidence in the student.
