Excellent videos as always. Any chance of a run down on software and how to interpret it correctly and how it can be of help?

Nice looking charger. Wonder how it will compare to the cheaper TP-610C.

The BC6-10 has considerably more power, 200 watts compared to 80 watts of power. It supports all the major battey taps on the market as well, the TP does not.

Okey. Iam not a fan of charging at 2C so didn't consider that as part of the cost difference.

I bought the BC-610 several months ago and its now my favorite charger (other charger is the Astroflight 109 which is way too loud in comparison). Even got the series adapter for charging my 3S batteries together. The other nice feature is the cycle charge mode for NiMH which I use to run out the TX battery and then fully charge afterward.

Once I started playing with the charger I purchased balance extension cables for the series adapter and regular 6S adapter since it makes it easier to plug in the taps to the extension instead of the adapter board. Also, it helps that this is a 200W charger when working with 6S 5350mAh batteries being charged at 7A.

Hope this is a good place for this question...

So I have a Thunder Power 5S 3300mAh battery with approx 25 flights that whenever I try to balance charge with a BC6-10 it gets to the last stage (well, what I am assuming is the last stage - charging @ 0.1ma) and never finishes... it will sit there til the time limit trying to balance the last few tenths of a volt.

Watching the cell voltages doesn't help much - they all fluctuate between 4.19 and 4.2 - so I can't tell if one of the cells can't make it that last 100th of a volt or what.

You think this means my battery is hosed? It has never been through a crash.

I hope someone has an answer. I have the same problem with an XCite 6S 5000 battery that is virtually brand new. I have a MaxAmps 6S 5000 that charges just as expected.

Yep the battery is having a hard time balancing. That means it is basically on its way out. You can extend the timer as see if it eventually balances but long term it's only going to get worse.

I was hoping these would be moved to the Bantam Support forum. There could be another reason. If the EAC connection board is worn for example, the increase in resistance can cause the same symptoms.

The TP/FP boards, the TP taps are very hard on the sockets. Most people do not properly remove the tap and wiggle it out of the socket. This strains the socket on the PCB board. If the socket becomes loose for example, it can cause the same symptom.

Many people recommend removing the latch off the TP tap. Much easier to insert and remove from the socket.

Very true and good point! I ruined one of my TP 1010 balancers because the socket broke off from the strain of unplugging over time.

I now remove the tabs on all my packs!

That's why I purchased the tap extension cables.

Default BC6

Hi !

Ok I’m have one (e-Station BC6)
I have the cable connected to computer and a temperature sensor.
Where I connect it? (Temp. Sensor) I need an Y cable!
Can i use for that?
If we have the charger connected to computer we can’t use the temperature sensor?
Why in the software we have temperature sensor monitoring?
I’m confused

Thanks

Nuno

On the BC-6 only (not BC6-10 or BC-8) you can only use the temp sensor or the USB connection at a time. In the User Setup you select which one you want. They share the port.

The software works on numerous Bantam chargers so it can display the temp if used on other Bantam Chargers.
