The 2 6s packs are fine for the 800 you not reading what I said or reading into it to much

I was trying to brake the heli and didn't let up for 4 min with packs that only had 4 to 6 easy flights on them

The packs i used after this flight where hotter then i like, which after a charge needed 3800 back in i need to brake them I feel i need to due at least 10 flights for brake, After that i will due a few normal 3d flights and like to see how much i put back in at a 1960 head speed, what i was trying to due was not normal keeping the heli loaded with 14* pitch and 8* cyclic never letting up.

The 780 blades are fine. No issues there for the setup.

hope this clears up what i was trying to say

Dino

OK.

Will 7s 5000 packs fit and how will they affect CoG if its designed for 6s 5200? as the 7s 5000's I use are just shy of 1kg each.

Or is that just due to the limitations of the supplied equipment?

Thanks for the info so far

you get long packs, you get thick short packs, so actual dimensions are far more usefull than saying XX random fitment.

Jamin,

I've taken a few pics for you of the 700 and 800 side by side with my 700 Turnigy 5000's in (12S). As you'll see, there is a heap more room below the packs in the 800, due to to the taller frames, obviously.

Hope this helps

If I run two Turnigy 6s 5000mAh 40C packs should I be setting around 1600-1700rpm? Is 1850rpm too high? Will it bog down? Or make the batts puff out
I know some people aren't too fond of Turnigy packs, but they are half the price...
I'm not doing crazy 3d but do like to toss it around a bit
Opinions welcome

Excellent, thank you for that

I notice there is a frame brace at the back there, how close do those 6s packs get to that as I imagine I will have to push the 7s pack back to get the CoG correct?

I have found a dealer that will do me a kit to

No probs', Jamin,

From the back of the rear pack (as it is in my photos) to the frame brace, is 3.5inches. With that in mind, you should have plenty of scope to get the CoG right with 7S packs.

Good news regarding the bare bones kit.

BTW, there should be a couple of 7S Logos at a fly-in I'm going to on the weekend. If I'm able, I'll try to borrow a couple of 7S packs and a get some pics and measurements of them installed if you like??

That would be excellent. I would just like to know that there is enough room to move the packs forwards and backwards for CoG and then I think Im done with the enquiring A team pilot of mine over here is about to order one also so there could be a few of them flying around

I think your best option would be to just try the Turnigy;s, if you already have them of course, and see how they perform with your setup. As you know, there are quite a few variables between setups so quite hard to give a definitive answer.
But yes, generally a higher quality/C pack should yield better results imo

Sorry Jamin,

The guy with the 7s batts didn't bring that particular Heli to the field on the weekend, so couldn't get to try in the 800, obviously.

honestly the only 12s packs I have, are 4000 and 4400... so well either very very light 12 on this, or we will see

I allready own a logo 800 and 770 goblin, and getting protos 800... so definetly decked for a shootout!
