Default (Max) headspeed Raptor 60 V2

Hello everyone,

I'm currently flying a Raptor 60 V2 with an OS91 engine on it, 8.27 ratio and 680mm Carbon fibre Torsion Blades. I'm looking for the max headsspeed my Raptor 60 can handle and the ideal headspeed for light 3D and in the end hardcore 3D flight.

Can anybody help me out?

Thanks.

I have the same gear ratio and the OS 91HZ. I run 1875 which is just above the engine's peak horsepower RPM.

I'm running the 91 hz-ps engine on a rap 90 3d, running 1950 rpm. Rap 90 3D has metal rotor hub.

Just be sure your blades do not hit tail blades and do not overspeed your engine. Personally I guess I would have run 1900 max on that machine.

Hey Boir: On my 90 with the OS 91sz, with 8.28 gear ratio, I run 1700 for mild 3D, and 1900 for hard stuff. On my 90 with YS 91sr with 8.18 gear ratio, I run 1700 and 1850. Like Phnz said, make sure your using a metal rotor head and good dampers to avoid boom strikes :-)

I have a Raptor 60 V2 TT 70 using STD main gear 93T and pinion 10T getting 1720 RPM with CF blades, I do not fly 3D but the standard head should be OK for up to 1800 RPM. the manual recommendation is 1750 RPM MAX.

I run a gforce metal head at 1950RPM, using the Elevated RC 90T main gear & 11T pinion. flies really spanking at this head speed on a OS 91.
