I was going to try a castle esc and scorpion motor, but I ran into a cheap esc online called team ahk. I was told it would do the trick, it does. My old heli will do tic tocs with tonnes of pop. Not bad for a $30 esc. It doesnt get hot like the align one.

I was going to post similar question about it. I found a site that sells the Team AHK 30A ESC for only 19.99 and is in Canada. Looks to be a big company, I might give it a try

I have 4 of these in my quad they work great

.The hotest they ever got was just above room tempurature and that was flying it hard(areobatics and all).I used the programmer to set them, but they can also be set with beeps and tones.GOOD Bang for your buck.I'm very happy with these.
