I have a set of speed blades, but I love flying it around at 1200 and 1650 rpm.

Currently my flight modes are 1200, 1650, 2100 rpm.

I'm running an SK-720 BE on mine which flies great.

The world speed record was set in September with a GT5.

Marcos came in 3rd in Open class with his Banshee at IRCHA using a VBar.

From what I understand the Banshee just has great flight dynamics and flies great with all FBL systems. BeastX, VBar, HC/BD, Skookum, GT5, etc..

Default Have all the Banshee's gone to speed freaks?

My banshee helis 5.3 kg rtf with lipo, a little fat but had no choice as on 12s my poor lipos suffer, so it added 300g going to 14s.

Flies amazing. I fly at 1800,2200 and 2350.

I just changed servos and motor and gearing and think its perfect

And I am sure that there is way more information these days. So why not get it on top again and discuss the experiences a bit? There is not only Danny any more competing in a speed cup, but way more.
And regarding the benefits: besides a great FBL system (3X, which btw is official F3N World Champion with Eric Weber) the 3SX offers you safety for your valuable heli (which is basically the case here) and assists you in increasing your skills.
Any questions? Then go to our forum here on HF: https://www.helifreak.com/forumdisplay.php?f=281

Nice bit of advertising there, now they did not all go to speed freaks, there answered the question!

Default AW: Have all the Banshee's gone to speed freaks?

In Europe only a few bought the banshee for speeding.
I know at least one German who is flying his banshee only with 10S and a Jive 80 HV.
I'm also no speed freak. 12S, Helijive and 4530 is enough for me. :-)

Regards, Helmut

I bought the Banshee for speed but it is so light and elegant I just can't bring myself to fling it at speed!

Maybe tomorrow
