Default Whats Up?

This forum has been pretty quiet lately. Is everybody all happy with their TRM motor or is it just too cold to fly them?

Red face Impatiently waiting

I'm still waiting for my engine to show up from Esprit Model.
I am anxious to perform a "Carey Shurley" like Raptor conversion.

I've got my engine sitting in a box. Just need the model to install it in. Are you really doing a Raptor conversion?!

So far I am loving my Hanson 29 Max converted to TRM 270 TT.

Very easy to tune in comparison and runs great. Most expensive heli engine I have ever owned, for obvious reasons...but was definitely worth having it re-modified to have a reliable and well behaved engine.

The SpectraG will most likely get the TRM RC treatment as well if
all goes well with the Raptor.
Im not into 3D yet but am headed in that direction and the Raptor is going
to help me get there.

Its very HOT here in southern hemi..

I am starting to leaning out my 270TT on Hwiplash and converted to fully synthetic oil.
Not it run stable and smooth at 13,440. I still can see condensation on the carby, which I reckon it still fairly rich

Default TRM270TT

Have been running my TRM270TT in my whiplash for the past three months. I installed a QuickDraw tuned pipe about six weeks ago and I must say that this motor and pipe has my whiplash preforming almost as well as my 90 nitro.. I am turning my head at 2000 rpm with the stock 6.88:1 ratio and the motor is turning 13.800 rpm or so, and I must say it is hard to bogg this motor with 12.5 deg. pitch. I could not be any more happy. Thanks Al for a great motor and for the help you have given me over the phone...
