mcpx stock tail & motor

80% pitch travel
flight times under 3 minutes

-lots of fun with this setup for indoor.
(the wild runs best over 80% per Dylan and Nccraig )

82% TC Flat
85% travel
Hyperion 180's
3:45 min flight
Mcpx boom

*Since I switched out the 26 gauge to 24 gauge from the BL esc to the board I and direct soldered the motor leads and power leads to the board, I can now run the stock 150 mah batterys as well (I was not able to get them to work with the setup until I beefed up the gauge and direct soldered per Dylans recommendation) I am getting around a minute less.

Would like to hear from those who are using the hyperion 240's. I am hearing that the extra weight is noticeable and also that with the extra power its not....what has been your guys experience?

I tried the hyperion 180's tonight and i like them! Similar to the above set up but I'm at flat 80% and 4 minute flights. Curious about the hyperion 240's as well.

Just got my 190mah mini aviations in today and with cold weather, 95% thro and 100% pitch they gave me 2 mins of full power with no tail blowouts and then 2 mins of power with blowouts if you use full throttle, also the chopper dies almost instantly with them instead of slowly which is bad but shows the battery quality!

It's kind of not a good idea to fly a LiPo battery to the point that it dies in flight.

Is the Esc that comes with the wild kit already in gov arm mode? How do you set the curve if so?

The ESC comes with the default GOV TX setting. You would have to change it with a tool stick or transmitter programming.

Do any of you use 0 as your first slot setting in throttle curve for flat rates? What is the benefit of having flat rates as opposed to staggered? Basically two F mode settings?

Do any of you fly in the cold? (45° and below) how does the nano behave? I read over 80% is best for throttle curve with wild and 80% seems pretty weak, I can go higher and no matter what my tail will start to blow out and just spin randomly or toward the end of the battery. My pitch curve is standard and I'm using 190mah miniaviations, any advice on how to fix this?

You have some other issue that needs tending to if you need to use that much subtrim.

Lol definitely, maybe my 3in1 is going up? No physical adjustments did anything, maybe it was always like that . Now mid stick is perfectly flat and pos and neg pitch is balanced which now makes 80% throttle very powerful

I did have trouble, but what I finally did was to put the servo links as close to centering as I could, of coarse I already had my swash leveled. I then loosened up the two head screws and pulled the head up on the main shaft ever so slightly. It was about .1 - .2 mm in the way of the movement I needed to move it and then carefully tighten the screws back to make sure it stayed in position. It worked perfectly and the .1 -.2 mm amount I lifted the head is not going to cause any problems. If you noticed, when you pushed the head down all the way onto the main shaft it looks like it touches or at least almost touches. I am also using an RKH main shaft.

I realize this is a REALLY old thread, but I had the same problem with my RKH swash and head. Kept adjusting the pitch subtrim to correct. The problem was the bearing slipping out of the swashplate. I've tried blue and green threadlock (as best I could without getting it in the bearings) with no luck. Now I finally CA'd it in place. I think it will finally stay. I guess RKH has a problem with this.
