Default Raptor e620 SE build videos!

OK folks... I bought one of these and all the stuff to go with it (this is not sponsored by anyone but me)... I wasnt going to do a build videos series on this at first (ya know take a break for awhile) but Dabian Dog told me I "had to" plus I few people asked me as well.... So..... here we go.

FYI.... there will be a week delay as I am going to the Toledo show this coming weekend (Thursday - Sunday) so I wont get too much done before the show... so dont bug me to hurry up

First up is my usual intro of "what's in the box"
VIDEO -> Whats in the box! (19 Megs)

Next is the Upper Frame Assembly
VIDEO -> Upper Frame Assembly (48 Megs)

Lower Frame Assembly
VIDEO -> Lower Frame Assembly (25 Megs)

Maingear, and Washout Assembly
Note: I didnt mention in the video but please dont forget to oil your oneway clutch (bearing). I used Triflow.
VIDEO -> Maingear and Washout (33 Megs)

Installing Maingear, Main Shaft, Swashplate, and washout.
VIDEO -> Install main, swash, etc (28 Megs)

UPDATE! please watch this BEFORE you do part 1 of the head as it MATTERS how the hoops go on to the head... I found this doing part 2 of the head but better to get it right NOW.
VIDEO ->A quick tip before doing the head part 1 (8 Megs)

Head build part 1
VIDEO -> Head Part 1 (52 Megs)

Head build part 2
VIDEO -> Head Part 2 (53 Megs)

Tail Assembly
VIDEO -> Tail Assembly (50 megs)

Tail and Boom Assembly
VIDEO -> Tail and Boom Assembly (30 megs)

Servo Install and servo links
VIDEO -> Servo Intallation (38 megs)

Servo Setup for 90 CCPM
VIDEO -> Setting up the servos for CCPM (38 megs)

Head Setup
VIDEO -> Setting up the head (48 megs)

Motor Install
VIDEO -> Installing the motor (24 megs)

Electronics Placement
VIDEO -> Where I placed the Electonics (20 megs)

Tail Assembly Install and Tail Setup
VIDEO -> Tail Assembly Install and Tail Setup (60 megs)

Landing Grear
VIDEO -> Installing the Landing Gear (10 megs)

Well folks.. thats about it! I will show as side videos the Castle HV85 setup and the Logitech 6110T. They will be shown on the eRaptor 620 but will be more generic for all radios. That will be posted in another topic.

Here is the topic for setting up the Castle 85HV
https://www.helifreak.com/viewtopic.php?t=38832

MAIDEN this weekend! of course I will probably spend 1/2 tha day setting up the ESC and gyro.

Bob,

Awesome, really looking forward to this build. I have one sitting in a box with all the stuff but it is in line after my dragonus elite

I am milking and enjoying my first heli build, trex 450se. Next one should go faster. Too cold to fly anyhow.
Again thanks for doing this build

I've wanted to see how similar these are to their nitro brothers.

Finally, I can find some of the mistakes in my Raptors

glad to see that you're doing the eraptor.. i just finished a e550.. its about the same, just smaller (size 30 as compared to the e620 which is size 50) .. alu lower frame and all plastic parts.

Hi Bob!

Thanks for the CC PHX 85HV Jeff Fassbinder Baseline you sent me the other day. I've been working with it and made some changes to better suit this heli. I must say I'm more than impressed with the CC PHX 85HV!!! :OMG Amazing is the only word I have for it!

Take Care,

Jeremy

You can run a 6 to 10 cell Lipo with a Caste Creations PHX 85HV and a Z-Power Z50A-800. That's what I run on a Flight Power 6 cell 5000mah Lipo and love it!! I sport fly. This setup leaves me room to upgrade to a 10 cell Lipo for all out 3D. :glasses2: Hope this helps.

*EDIT After testing the 6s setup for a couple of days I will be going to a 8s or more likely a 10s setup. The 6s just doesn't give good flight times on this heli.
