500l, jr tail servo elg01

Needed a better tail servo! Stock ds525 had high speed wag and just wouldent hold on some manouvers. It did ok but was starting to bother me. Did better with 72mm revo blades but still not perfect. Installed this jr elg01 servo with no real mods. It has better specs and i have had great luck with jr tail servos on my other helis. Got 2 flights in tonight under the street lights and it feels good so far. Im gonna do some more testing tom. In the day light when i can really put it to work. I will report back!!

Yes sir - that is a high voltage - high performance - $110 tail servo - it ought to do good.....

Deff performs!! We had a beautiful day today. Got to run about 8 packs through the 500l with the new jr servo it holds extreemly well !! Did everything i could do to get a tail trouble and all it did was hold strong. No more blow outs or high speed wag. Did alot of large high speed funnels the tail rotor was screaming but held strong. B4 i would get a high speed wag followed by a 90 degree blow out. Verry pleased with the elg01 !

Did you use the standard rce/ bl70 esc or did you upgrade this to support the jr tail servo?

That heli has a Talon 90 in the frames, You see it on the bottom.

Yup talon 90 at 6v..i like the talon cause of its strong bec. Not need for rx pack or external bec. I like flying governed and i can never get align esc to work good for me....i have two diff 500 size helis running the talon 90. No problems ever..

Working with the stock ESC or must replace to other one?

Later maybe I will buy a Hobbywing Platinum 100A V3 ESC. Any experience?

You should be able to use any of those servos with the stock ESC. You may need to add a BEC though.
