Hi, Can someone verify my settings for my Master CP with Devo-7.

The Heli is not lifting off with the Training Gear on.

Are these good settings ?

Why am I getting no lift-off. My Swashplate is level and blades are 0 degree pitch at Mid Stick. I have Digital Pitch Gauge.

Also I am using the Emax ES-MD08 Digital servos for Aileron / Elevator and Pitch.

Hi thanks for reply.

Im not sure I get what you mean. When you say raise Pitch Travel is that in the Function menu under TRAVAD ? If so that goes up to 150% and I can see the blades move when I adjust this. Then you say back off on pitch to stop binding ? Could you explain.

Sorry i'm a bit new at this.

Use your pitch gauge and adjust travel adjust untill you have 12 or 13 deg of pitch at full throttle stick position . I have my travel adjust at 50 percent and run a linear pitch curve in all flight modes .

Well i've just managed to get the Heli in the air after all this time.

Bit scary at first but got it about 1ft off the ground and controls were ok.

About 3 mins of going up and down on Grass with the Training Gear on, the battery has now gone

Will try again after Battery charged.

Thanks.

Still would like to get a guide from you on setting Pitch properly from you if possible.

Just that I wont be around tonight as I work Night Shift through the week.

Think I got about 0 degree at 50% mid-stick and 10degree at Full and Low Stick.

I set the DEVO-7 to :

THCRV

P1 0%
P2- INH
PM +50%
P3- INH
P4- INH
PH +100%

PTCRV

PL +20%
P1 +30%
P2 +40%
PM +50%
P3 +65%
P4 +75%
PH +100%

GYRO 75%

these are the settings in my radio also i checked travel adjust for pitch and im set at 50 percent both up and down . Main problem i see is your p3 is 50 percent and should be 0 percent and every thing below p3 -pL should be a negative percent .

When you set up the heli you want a linear pitch curve -100 to +100 , Next you move throttle stick to middle position on transmitter . Next install servo horns as close to leven as posible and use subtrim to get them as close as you can . Next level swash and set blades a 0 degrees with throttle stick still in the middle . Next use pitch gauge to see how many deg you have at low mid high stick . Use travel adjust menu to raise or lower to reach desired pitch percent . 10 deg is a goodnumber for learning .

Because you had +50 percent as pm, i believe your servo horns are in the wrong position . Before you fly with these settings use pitch guage to see where your at . At mid stick servo arms should be level, swash level and blades reading 0 deg with pitch gauge . Make sure you change pitch travel adjust to 50 percent or you will bind the head !

Hi Barry.

That is the Video I used to set my Servos before.

They are level at Mid Stick. The Values for the Throttle Curve and Pitch curve are what I copied from his later video explaining Throttle and Pitch curves.

This is a picture of my Swashplate at Mid-stick

Thanks

Hi Barry,

I've just put your settings into a slot on my Devo-7 and that throws my arms down looking like the photo.

So should I leave these settings in and reset my Servo arms to level 90 Degrees and level the Swashplate again at Mid Stick ?

With these settings I have 60% Throttle showing at Mid-Stick is this correct ? That is because of the 60% Throttle setting in the THCRV am I right ?

Ok I put the exact settings in my Devo-7 and have levelled off the servo arms and Swashplate.

So next step is to get both Blades at 0 Degrees on my pitch gauge at Mid-Stick by altering the Ball links ?

Cannot do this now as I'm at work but will try when I'm home.

Thanks for your help
