You guys really think this thing is gonna cost more than twice as much as a TDR or a Shape. I'm guessing $1500 will be the price of the kit.

I hope you're right too, but I'm prepping for the big end of the cost range so that there are no suprises. Hell, if it is cheaper, I might have money for possible upgrades for it or whatever other heli's I have.

In all honesty, all the big parts are the cheapest parts of a kit. It's much much simpler than a JR Vibe 90SG or comparable. I'm really curious too.

There's your answer.
I've had quite a few 600se's, and frankly even the heavyweight trex 700e's completely dominate them for hard 3d.
I'm not saying the new logo is undesirable at all.
I'm saying they would have sold many, many more 700 class helis than they will of this 800 class.

From the RH website, I've already priced up the following:

1x BLS255HV
3x BLS157HV
2x 813mm EDGE blades (spare set incl)
2x 115 EDGE tail blades (spare set incl)
Full size Vbar

at $1490

so add some packs, the heli kit (maybe $1500), Kontronic ESC and motor ($1000ish), already got the receiver (DSMX) and telemetry from from DX8 kit and I reckon I'm going to need $4000-$4500 (min) to get this baby in the air the way I want it.

I've been saving for 18 months so would have cost me about $50/week so far. Plenty of people smoke/drink way more than that.

Helis = good, clean fun.

Have my birthday in August. If I can't have it for that then Father's day in Sept. Really want it in July though.

Bring it on.

I hope you get it jay seems like you have disciplined your self to save up enough, if kontronik comes out with a 14s esc it will be 800 to 1000 alone.

It's certainly a beast at nearly every level, but it's going to be a bit too expensive for me. I have three helis, and am already out of space for storing, transporting, etc. It sure is awesome to say the least. I think if I were going to sell other stuff to add something awesome to my collection, it would be a TDR.

It should not be over $1500 as I doubt a lot of stuff is made in germany like it first was with mikado.

As long as they don't price is some stupid amount i will get one.

I will be getting a YGE ESC unless kontronik pull there thumb out and release something that works with vbar gov and is not an absolute ripoff! Any more than what they charge now is just insane.

I would bet if Kontronik releases a 14S ESC, it will be around $600 to $700.
