Hi Bob,

Great review. Congrats.
One question on the LiPo discharge function: how do you modify the low voltage setup? Mine is set to 3V / cell which is way too low for my liking. I could only set the Amp discharge rate and the cell number.

Thanks!
Cheers

You cannot adjust the low voltage cut off in the lipo discharge mode. It is set at 3.0V per cell in lipo mode.

Thanks Evan.

That's way too low right? Since you are Bantam main importer, do you thinl Bantam will issue an updated firmware that would allow such change?
cheers

Way too low? No. Lowest it should be, yes. Should it be configurable, yes. Will it be updated, I can only make the recommendation.

You will need an adapter w/ a JST connector for the charge output leads, and an adapter board w/ connections for the Align balance connector. Align uses the same balance plugs as Dual Sky, Eflite, E Sky and probably some others I don't know as well.

Remember, you have to connect both the charge output leads AND the balance plug to get the charger to operate. This was a firmware change last year. Some of the older instruction manuals (the one for my BC5 for example) said to only connect the balance connector, which is incorrect.

Hey Bob, don't forget to amend your second video about the 1C charging rates.

Just a friendly reminder.

Rick.

I just purchased a BC6-10 from rc accessory, with the recommended 30AMP ac charger, kinda pricey but I hope I won't need another charger for awhile.

Where do I get the cable to charge both 3s packs at the same time? I see the video bob linked to, and I guess I could possibly make my own, but I don't trust myself to get it right, especially from a video that doesn't show the entire cable that clearly.

Hi Bob,
Great review. One question regards the way 2 x 3s need to be connected in order to be charged at the same time. On the video you mention there is a "correct way" to charge them otherwise the pins will damaged... Can you please explain how I need to connect the batteries??
Thanks for your help

See my post in the bantam forum about being stupid and shorting out your batteries when trying to do 2 x 3s improperly.

Watch the video. The issue would be in the main power connections to ensure that you have the polarity correct and the same as the balance tap polarity. Battery 1 MUST go on the negative lead to the charger. Battery 2 is the positive lead to the charger.

When using the Bantam b6-10 charging 2ea 2200ma Lipo's I saw that you set the voltage to 22v what do you set the amp's to does it double to 4.4 or do you set for 2.2, buy the way your video on the product is excellent just bought one.

When charging in series (6S1P) then the amp setting would be the same as 3S. So if the packs are 2200 you charge at 2200.

When charging in Parallel (like a 3S2P pack) it's still a 3S pack voltage wise but you doubled the amp rating. So 2200 would be 4400ma. However with the BC charger you want to charge as 6S (in series) since the balancer doesn't do parallel 3S.

Using the BC-6 on my Outrage 6s 5000.... take 120/135m to charge back 3300mh ..... wondering if getting a BC10 or the new BC8-DX... would drop my charge time?

The BC-6 is 50 watts of power, max charge rate is 2.2 amps on a 6S pack. BC6-10 is 200 watts of power, max charge rate is 8 Amps. BC8DX is 160 watts per side, max charge rate of 7 amps per side.
