Default Align gov sensor with CGY750

Hi all,

I installed the Align gov sensor as the diagram below.
Added a 1K resistor between de red and white wire.

Only 97% reading on the display.

Whats wrong with this ? maybe red and black wire change ?

97% is fine. I get 96% using the Futaba sensor.

I know 97% is fine, but when you turn the head there must be something like 1% reading
(thats the case with the org. futaba sensor).

Thats not the case, always 97% reading.

So my question is, what should be changed to use the Align
gov sensor with the CGY750 ?

I had the same problem. Put your starter on the heli and crank it over. You'll see on the display where it will read 0-1%. It just needs to see a few turns of the starter...

I would assume so... Just setup your throttle curves incase it doesn't read from the sensor. A good way to tell if your gov. Is active is by spooling up then switching to idle up 1 while still on the ground. Apply negative pitch and if the head speed remains constant and doesnt bog down, then you know the gov is working... Also at the end of the flight, there's an option on the cgy750 to view the max head speed recorded. Double check that to verify it works.

OK Aliosha, thanks for your input.

Do you use the align sensor ? (thats a bit unclear to me)

If so, then you know how you did connect it to the CGY750 though ?

I'm using the Spektrum backplate sensor on my 700n. I did the 2.2k resistor mod and hooked it up as normal to the cgy750. Worked like a charm

Yeah damn...I was just asking especially for the Align sensor.

But if the Spektrum backplate sensor is 100% PIN compatible with the Align,
this must be the way to go.

Anyone can confirm ?

I'm having a similar problem with my governor and the 750. I'm using the throttle jockey sensor and get a very low reading(15%) in the 750 governor sens menu. Should I try the resistor mod? Thanks

did you checked distance between sensor and magnet it must be 1-2mm if its not its reading low. acordıng to manual %60 and more its good

Hi
Did this get resolved? I am using an align sensor, have crossed the red and black wires but no reading. I crossed the wires as this is what is needed to be done to make it work with a vbar, but the futaba sensor plugs into a vbar unchanged, hence the conclusion that's I needed to swp wires.

I don't know how dead set on the align sensor you are but look up the thread on the spektrum RPM sensor modification. http://rc.runryder.com/helicopter/t641686p1/ I have used it and made them for a couple other people.
