Default 16t on WK brushless

Fitting the gears is made to be tough, and they say the motor will not start without manually spinning the rotor, but I just drilled out the hole on the gear from the brushed motor with a pin vice, and super glued it to the bl shaft, holds great. Also it starts the first time every time without help. It has more power, I lift off with very little throttle, it gets hot, but I have a heat sink on it. I think I need to adjust the throttle curves to get the full benefit, but the tail has some problem holding so I am going to wait till I go brushless tail.

the 2.9g tail motor is a good upgrade, the new 2.6g is probably good too but I haven't tried it.

Sounds like you might be getting positive pitch too early in the collective range if it's lifting off without much throttle - could be putting too much strain on the motor and is why it's getting hot. If you sort that out your tail should hold better too.

Thanks Dusty, I will try adjusting that. How is the best way to adjust that? reduce the head speed at half throttle? Reduce the pitch settings on the TX? Reduce the pitch Mechanically?

First thing I'd do is mechanically adjust for 0 pitch at mid-stick.
Which TX do you have?
