Default USB interface + wireless adapter

Anyone know if the usb interface is relying on power from the charger or from the usb port of the computer?

Would be great if it would be possible to use something like this:

Have you seen this option? All you need a is small, inexpensive laptop/netbook. Those are handy to have for field use anyway.

Yes. I have a Dell XPS laptop that I allways bring to the field so that I can program my gyros, jlog, esc etc. Its small so its handy that way.

Would just have been handy to have when at home since I almost allways charge in the kitchen while sitting infront of the computer in the next room. Then I could have had on that computer instead.

I'll just have to find some space to put the laptop. No big deal

It's possible that using a powered USB hub might work. The challenge would be to get the two devices to talk to each other.
