Default Will 3s Batteries work on a 6s Mini Protos Setup?

Hi everyone.

I thank you in advance, for any wisdom you can share. I acquired a Mini Protos with a 6s setup but haven't started the build. I have several 3s 35C 2200mah Glacier Lipos that I'm hoping to find out whether they'll fit and/or be the best effective cell choice to power my 6s Mini Protos. By effective, I think I mean would a 6s battery be a better choice for me to use in terms of fitting under the canopy and overall performance? I haven't a clue. Here are the Glacier lipo dimensions: 113 x 23 x 33 mm. I would say that I'm an "advanced beginner" flyer if that matters. Lol. Anyhow, I am grateful for any help you can offer.

Thanks again!

Okay, so you need a class on brushless motors.
Basically, a brushless motor has a certain kv, which determines it's maximum speed in relation to voltage. Because the kv on a 6S motor is half the kv on a 3S motor, running it on 3S will result in low headspeeds (not half but around 2000rpm for a 450).

2000rpm on a 450 is very anemic and you can't do anything crazy, on my stretch mini P with 360mm blades, running it on 3S with 100% throttle (around 2000rpm), I struggle to keep flips at a constant altitude (because there is NO power).
You can do circuits and figure eights just fine though, and for 10+ minutes, just don't try anything you're not confident with because you won't have the power to bail out.

So yeah if you want to fly normally get 6s lipos. You could always try it on 3S first though.

3S and 4S is very doable though. With 3S you can have a pretty mean machine but with 4S it can get completely ridiculous with 325 Blades, haven't tried longer ones.

On my 450 Pro, Im geared for 3500 HS at 95% throttle with 3S. With 4S I'm getting 3795 at 75% throttle. I can easily go above 4000 but at those speeds the heli becomes so locked in to its position it becomes different to fly. It doesn't feel free or relaxed and is resistant to movement. It'll flip on a dime but I can feel it working the servos much harder to do so.

I use gov on mode so I have a governor that works with 3S and 4S.
Gov store that was setup for 3S drastically limited the 4S packs so I use gov on mode.
