The 2520-1360 has a 4mm dia.shaft. The msh shaft is for scorp motor with 3.125 dia. shaft. On top of that the length may not be correct either. It would be close but the dia. is gonna kill ya anyway's

Looking at my 3s motor tapers from 4mm to 3 and side by side w/ new Scorp look about identical length with retaining clip slots in the same place. I'll report back in a couple days when I get the new shaft...

Ya it looks like the 3.125 mm scorp shafts do taper to 4mm where they go in the motor. The total body length of the 2520 is 1.3 mm longer than scorp 2221 series. looking at my 6s msh/scorp motor it looks like there is at least 1.3mm sticking out the bottom so the msh long shaft for the mini just might be a install and use for the 2520-1360 powerhouse !!

.. the scorpion-motors (and so that one for msh) have a measurement of 4mm for the shaft inside the motor, reduced outside to 3,125 mm for standard pinions,

the special shaft for the msh-branded scorpions reduces outside the motor to 3mm for the special owb-pinions but still have 4mm inside (of course...) ...

so i am sure, the the special-shaft of msh would fit perfect with the warp 360 ...

I think the height of the can will be an issue, the slots for the clips won't line up etc, all will be known shortly

I have a feeling it will work fine, but possibly the flats ground in the shaft for the set screws may have to be extended a bit. The total length difference fron 1360 motor and msh scorp 1300 is only 1.3mm. The 1360 being 1.3mm longer and there is at least that much protruding from bottom can of msh scorp.

Default MSH Clips

The Clips MSH gives you with the long shaft kit are not the same as the ones on the motors. The motors were updated a while ago to use a new clip and bent washer. You probaly are going to need a clip kit if that shaft happens to fit. Given how nothing ever works exactly as planned in this hobby, lol, it will amaze me if this works without some hack work.

If not mistaken that different clip and bent washer is because the new shafts are different at the area where the clip goes. I think they lack the gradual taper there. Oh well it won't be long and we will know from early adopters. I am in no hurry as I am pretty pleaed with the power I get with the msh 6s motor on thunderpower 1300 65c batterys and ice lite 50 running setrpm govornor with 8khz pwm and low timing. Motor does not get as hot as some of you guy's say it does with yge.

Default Old German Tech..

This old german tech is problematic. The underpowered BEC in the YGE blows, so you go external and you are golden cause the YGE sensor output is 5V regulated even with the external BEC.. so then you go to Castle and you have to add a sensor and a resistor network to lower the voltage.. or toss the Mini VBAR and go with HC.. Oh man, what a mess this hobby is. Just fly and be happy. Today I blew out my pitch links when they hit my soldering station on the bench lol. Well, that was fun.

I'm really interested in how this works. I can see how the grub screw flat may need to be extended a tad, that's easy. Hope this can work, I can't imagine what a freakin' monster a mini p would be with that motor.

Well, it's a protos vs. a trex, so that instantly makes it better.

But yes, on 350 blades, the disc load on the mini p is crazy light. So crazy power + really light = stupid fast.

Motor arrived, it's cute, lol
Pulled the shaft for comparison

Very near identical!
Installed long shaft, no problems

I will get it into a mini tonight, main problem I have is that I have soldered all my mini p motors direct to esc, since I thought I would never be changing the motors, haha.

I am pretty sure I can see the grub screw mark on the shaft that came out. Puts the grub screw in about the middle of the flat on the msh shaft, Danggg! now I guess I have to get one of these motors and a shaft. Though I feel my heli is plenty powerful! Decisions, decisions LOL!
