My wish list for this hobby is just getting silly now!

Love the machine.
Love Kyle's style.

Kyle has been testing several different "set-ups". But the one in the two videos posted so far are: 14S 5000mah class batteries, YGE 160 amp ESC on the V-Bar's governor, Scorpion 5035 motor (kv is custom at the moment for the proposed gearing of the XXtreme, so I'll remain silent on that at the moment), 1750 head speed, +/- 12 degrees of collective, 813mm Edge main blades, Edge 115mm tail blades.

Thanks for the info, i seek inspiration for my next TDR and i am glad this configuration is working well.

Mikado should release xxtreme manual online, so we can see how it really work. That'd be cool.

With a a heli kit already cloning the mikado CF frame just hitting the market I doubt that will happen. Sure, its no Mikado but why tip your hand before you HAVE to.

Question, "How do the dampeners compare to a Logo 600, is it a different design?"

In basics they are the same, in that they use three o-rings per side for the dampening. If you watch the first video with the music, when Kyle is briefly discussing some of the parts, in the top left of the screen, there is a view of the Logo 600's and the XXtreme's spindle and dampeners for a size comparison. Big difference.

That said, the design won't allow the dampeners to "pop-out" like they've been known to do on occasion with the Logo 600SE (for those new to Mikado, this happens for a reason and is largely preventable, and the topic has been discussed before in this forum).

Close inspection of the dampeners and thrust bearings at 175 flights showed them to look still new...just put them back in, to see just how long they will go. And this is with 813 blades running at the high end of the head speed range. The head is VERY robust.

With the Logo 600, at very low head speeds, you can get some "wobble" from the dampening being too hard for the set-up. We've yet to find that with the XXTreme. Kyle has flown it at head speeds from 900 to 2100. It's smooth the whole range.

Quote, "I need to know how long..."

Nose of the canopy to the end of the vertical fin is 64 inches (1.62 meters). You lose about 4 inches (.10 meters) with the canopy off.

Well, the tail boom dismounts easily, and the heli gets real small then (-:

Two bolts for the boom supports at the frames, three bolts that clamp the boom into the frames, (all easily accessible), and the ball link for the tail control rod, and it slips right out.

"How tall is it?"

470mm, vs. a Logo 600 which is 380mm (ground to the top of the head).

Hmmm, I wonder if us short guys will be able to pick this thing up by the head and get the skids off the ground.

I just can't wait to get one. Looks like it's going to be a fun bird.

Keep up the great work on all the testing as well as the XFC practice. I know it must be a delicate juggle especially as XFC is relatively close now.

It's funny how last year Kyle beat all the 90 size birds with a 600 size helicopter. Now he is going compete with a 800 size against all those 700/90 size birds. payback is a b#%*%# Jk.

I will have to shop around a little I guess. I would assume you are right about the servos.
