Default NAZA-H nodding in ATTI mode

Hi,

I noticed that my 450 heli with naza-h is pitching up and down in atti & gps mode. First I tough the autopilot gain is too high. When I degrease the gain, this behavior is still there except that the frequency is lower. Down to the minimum gain(40%) it will pitch up & down slowly. When I move forward it is not noticeable but once I stop it will come back.

As far as I can see from my eyes, this heli doesnt has any vibration & blade tracking has been done. Is the any setting to make this behavior go away or at lease to minimize it? This heli is fitted with dfc head & I found out that the rubber dampers in the head aren't actually rubber, they feel more like hard plastics. Could this be the reason? Thanks.

What cyclic servos are you using? They may be too slow to react quick enough.

I'm using Corona Digital Servo 2.2kg / 12.5g / .11sec from hobbyking. In manual mode it doesn't act like that, only in atti mode & gps mode.

In ATTI and GPS is when the FC is controlling the heli. The FC requires a higher level of control than you on the sticks. Buy some high quality servos if you want to use a FC that is capable of a high level of control. If not, then the Naza H is probably not the FC for you.

Do you think Align DS415M servos are acceptable for the job? Below are the spec -

●Stall torque:2.0kg.cm(4.8V)
2.4kg.cm(6.0V)
●Motion speed:0.1sec/60°(4.8V)
0.08sec/60°(6.0V)
●Rating voltageC 4.8-6.0V
●Temperature range:-20°C~+60°C
●Dimension:22.9 x 12 x 25.8mm
●Weight:13.9g
●1520μs standard band

With corona servos I just use 5v from the ESC because I'm not too confident the servos can take 6v. I think changing the servo also will give me the benefit of the included DJI BEC at 5.8v.

I don't fly a 450. So I cannot comment on these particular servos performance. All I can say get the best servos that you can afford for using a FBL controller that is capable of GPS and ATTI.

Just want to update on my problem. So, i replaced the cyclic servos with align ds415m & rudder servo with ds425m. I installed dji bec & use 5.8v. Now the heli just fly perfect.
