A couple just don't compute. I want to use the FMOD switch to switch between flight modes. I see that seems to work as LED on Ladybird changes with switch. What doesn't make sense to me is this part: MODEL - OUTPU AUX2 AUX2 AUX2 GYRO FUNCTION - GYRO MODE- MANU SWITC - FMD I can't seem to match it to the Devo 10 menu system. If you could clarify that a bit, that would be super! Another question I have is with the DR/EXP setup. For Pos 0 & Pos 1, do you actually flip the corresponding switches on the Devo 10 associated with the function (ELEV D/R, AILE D/R, RUDD D/R) or are those different Pos settings somehow tied to the FMOD switch, so that the DR/EXP settings switch based on the FMOD switch and not each of the function switches? I typically use the AILE D/R switch as my throttle hold (I keep my middle finger resting on it ready to flip it whenever necessary). One more. Do the AUX4 and AUX5 dials actually do anything with the LB? Thanks!

Hoten x
I found CX2's setup for the ladybird qr worked very good, mine came with devo7 with a major problem in when I flipped the fmod inthe ladybird would go to full throttle!
I got it set right, but being slow( ok dumb) I kept missing fmod switch doing anything but changing led on FC. Then read your guide, and understanding my devo7 came from YOUR instructions. Thanks. I got ( finially ) the hotenX, BNF. And used your ladybirdQR as starting point! What I don't get, is why would brushled FC settings on tx work on with Brushless FC ? I know the tx isn't caring what it's controlling, the FC just wants to either stablalize with 3 or 6 axis, Im not putting the words right to say what i mean. It's not like I would use these settings on my x650, other than have similar yaw/rudder expo in positive and ele/ale expo in negative, |

You should be able to use my CB100 setup guide with the RX2406 for the RX2436. Create a new model or reset a current one. Use the settings I listed. All the other settings are at there default settings. This is why I didn't make a full setup guide as you only need to change a few settings from the defaults. For DR/EXPO you can try these settings. DR&EXP: Set D/R and EXPO to your personal needs/preference. These should be good for beginners. You can set more or less than 70% D/R if you want and more or less than +30% EXPO if you want. ELEV D/R - 70% EXP +30% AILE D/R - 70%, EXP +30% RUDD D/R - 100%, EXP LIN * Tom |

RD, I'm glad my setup guides were able to help you out. Q: Can your #16 setup guide for MiniCP with "C05 BL" be used for my 2801 Genius that has been converted to a Mini? A: Yes. The setup guides are the same for the Genius CP and Mini CP both brush and brushless. I listed them separate so I can find tune and tweek them if needed. I used one setup guide for the GCP and MCP both brush and brushless. Q: What would you suggest using for pot settings on the GCP WK RX for this setup. A: I used the factory defaults which worked well for me. On the GCP I turned up the servo ext. Q: ??????Where did he go?????[/QUOTE] A: I don't go on the forums much anymore... Tom |

Thanks for the response. The ST1 50% flat TC = 90% throttle doesn't make sence to me but does give a nice very melow flight. I think it is well below 90% on my 2801/MGCP BL. I use your #21 indoors, and am proggessing from #24 to #15 and then #16 in due time. My biggest problem is still nose in. I can sit in one place all day long in all other orientations, but lose it as soon as the nose comes around. Dumb Thumbs. Regards RD |

Your welcome RD.
The ST1 50% flat TC = 90% throttle we think has to do with how the throttle programming is done in the 3 axis RX firmware. On the Walkera non 3 axis RX I have found that 90% TX throttle gives you 90% actual motor throttle. On the Blade mCPX which has the 3 axis RX I found this out. With the thesteve mCPX version I had to set the TX throttle to 20% across to get 85% actual motor throttle in ST-1 for indoor flying. Connected the yellow wire to the main motor output pin on the 3in1. With the regular thesteve when I set the TX throttle to 80% across I got 85% actual motor throttle. Soldered the yellow wire to the back of the 3in1 on the tiny resistor. Nose in tricky. It is the hardest for me to do also. Tom Last edited by CX2Pilot; 09-01-2012 at 11:45 PM.. |

Master CP with Devo 10
I just received my first CP heli, a Master CP from RC711.com
Walkera recommended using their downloaded minicp.bin as a starting point for the Master....their settings are very similar. Once off the ground, the copter spins like there is no rudder control. On second try I applied some opposite rudder, which had no effect. It was all I could do to get it down without injury. Do you have any ideas of cause. I'm working with the techs at RC711, but would like some real ammunition. Thanks, |

The #1 thing to check is the gyro gain.
If it is too low the tail will not hold and the heli will spin. Set gyro gain at 82% to start with and adjust more or less as needed. Also make sure the rudder (RUDD) is set correctly in the TX reverse menu. It should be set at NORM if it is like the Mini CP. On the heli you may have a bad tail motor, bad tail motor connection, stripped teeth on a gear, bad tail blade (bent or cracked) or the tail blade may be slipping on the shaft. Also the pinion on the tail motor could be slipping. This is everything I can think of at the moment. Tom |

Hi,
I don't have the 2603 TX, just have the WK-2801 Pro. The 2603 has limited programming but you can use the D/R switch, EXPO, and PIT/PLT adjustments for beginner and advance settings. You will have to program them for beginner or 3D flying, you can't do it for both like you can with the WK-2801. This will be turning knobs until you get the response you want. There are no value screens for them so I can't give you some values to try. The V100D03BL owners manual should have the setup for your 2603 TX. Tom |
