Default SK720BE LED to telemetry with FrSky S.Port to UART Converter

Hi,

i plan to use the two ADC ports of the FrSky S.Port to UART Converter to read the status the two external LED port pins so i can use them to give TX telemetry alarms when vibration alarm starts.
My questions now is, do i need to put resistors between LED Port plus/negative and signal/negative and put the resitor voltage on the sensor or can i directly put the plus and signal pins to the AD port of the sensor?

Thanks
gokl

=] I hope you know what you are doing? the led alone is enough to show vibe warnings, if your heli is mechanically sound there won't be any sudden surprises.....

I dont wanna use the external LED warning. I wanna get a warning from my remote when my bailout wont work anymore. I think a spoken alarm warning will be more effective then a flashing LED which i maybe wont see. Then i could fly more careful, if id knew my bailout switch wont work due to bad vibrations.
Also, i just read the AD sensor port takes in max 3.3V. Im running 6V on my BEC. I guess i would have to use two resistors with the same Ohm to read at max 3V.
I then could read the voltage of the red LED and set an alarm to notify me. At least thats my plan. Is there an obvious problem with it?

=] if the alarm triggers then that's it for the remainder of the flight, no GPS or SL. You should monitor what the heli vibe levels are currently showing, to know as what to expect...

Yes, i know. I wanna rely on the SL bailout and id really like to get an accoustic warning when its not available due to some error/vibrations so i can land or fly more carefully.

Do you know how much current is the max on the led Port?

FYI, I totally agree with you. There should be a way to know if the SL has been dissabled and telemetry is the right way to know this.
