Default Little SR-Big Fun

Just wanted to say that of the many helis I have and have been working with lately I tooky SR out this eve and had her blasting around in high speed circuits. Just cutting the air she was. She's a handfull comparatively speaking but a handful of pure delight! Fly em' hard gentlemen. Don't worry about the haters, they just never learned how to handle them proper like. Enjoy!

My little SR has been gathering dust for a bit, I start thinking, maybe I should let her go to someone else......then I think, nah, its just time to take her for a spin....and put a smile on my face.....:-)

I still fly my SR UH1 hueys! My opinion, the SR was underappreciated. I think very few people understood the purpose behind it.

One day the parts I have will run out but until then they get to fly fairly regularly.

Fun she is, still.
I usually start my flying day with the SR and end the day with the 600X (fly almost daily early AM here in Florida); The tail motor has over a zillion minutes on it now (probably will go tomorrow now that I have mentioned it). I think it;s going to outlast the OEM battery. I fly only four and half minutes but that;s because my talking timer is memory set and I don't want to have to re-set for each heli. I go unto Idle up immediately after liftoff. I have found that the SR tail motors usually don't last long after contacting the ground or other immovable objects. I still have the training balls on mine although now the balls are so close in, that they touch the skids, and they have turned to tan from orange. Reminds me of a heli that I use to see on the TV Sky King program with the big tanks instead of the skids. Makes it easy to see for these 68 year old eyes too. Mine also has a white canopy on it from a King Bee. Easier to see.

I don't do any inverted flights with the SR, I use the 400, 500's, 600X for that exercise. Always good to hear from others that appreciate the SR.
