The only thing you need to know is that is a very simple and quick building heli that flies great and requires only a tiny bit of maintenance. You will find yourself flying it more and more and wondering why you have extra time on your hands LOL! Enjoy it...I'm sure you will!

It's a little old but I'd still recommend watching the Logo 500 build video by Finless. It will give you a little preview of what to expect.

That, and read the thread that Mike linked to. Have fun and take your time building.

Once you're done, you'll be amazed at 3 things.

-The simplicity of the build
-The quietness of the Logo
-The flight characteristics of the Logo

People rave about the V-Bar on the Logo. I'm here to tell you that while V-Bar is superb, my Logo 500 flew awesome before it had V-Bar. Add V-bar, and there's nothing quite like it.

Got the frame almost complete, I noticed finless said he used shoe glue on the main shaft bearings, is that what most use? The manual doesn't say anything about it

So don't glue them in at all?

Correct. When the main shaft is pulled tight and the main shaft collar is tightened, they are mechanically seated (squeezed together) in the frames, and cannot move.

We have thousands and thousands of flights on various Logo 500/600 helis, and gluing the main shaft bearings in the frames is definitely not needed.

Goes from pulley to boom. Then from boom to motor mount. If you search this forum you can find some good pics.

Well the frame is built, all that's needed is mount servos and electronics... Should maiden next weekend, that was the nicest build I have ever done, zero slop in everything

BTW it is easier to mount the tail servo and the elevator servo with the frame split.

Anybody have any tips on the pinion. I had it loose and was spinning the main gear to get it to align but it was still moving a little on the shaft, should I just eye ball the middle line?

And by moving I mean up and down, so it doesn't just zero in on a meshing

1. the Main hub will have play up and down on the main shaft. I center the hub and then eyeball the pinion to line up with the main gear.
2. I recommended Molykote EM-30L for the gear. (or thundertiger plastic gear grease)
3. the logo pinion should have less lash then normal. went i set the pinion they just touch.
