Serious?? makes me think whether or not i should get a fuse for my TDR too.... Only thing is...the TDR cant reach OR not made for that high headspeed (above 2000 RPM)... Infact I always seem to get my self into problems raising the rpm above 1950 RPM....

does it still fly just as nice on 1900 rpm with the fuse? I do assume the diabolo s is much faster right...

The fuse is not cheap...but it looks damn good

Default My SFR2 conversion.....

I can't comment on the TDR fuselage as I've not had one to try.
However, I do have a Uvular and a 600SE with both setup for speed flight and all I can say is the Uvular gets all the airtime.
The TDR can handle 2400RPM, don't ask how I know.

Thanks, Lynh. Yeah, I think the other SFR2's use pins, but this one is special.

William,.
Its definitely quicker, for obvious reasons, but that goes even if you're not making speed runs. There is just a difference there to me. On top of that, personally, I've just never been a big pod and boom fan. Even if its not a scale heli, full fuses are just, I don't know, sexier. Lol

Like John said, the SFR2 is artwork. Rick tried to downplay his work before I got it, but its was nothing short of perfect. He was(and still is) quick to answer any questions I have and help whenever I need it.

As far as headspeed, my idle 2 is set at 1950. I push it, but nothing too hard. I'm running a stock TDR underneath, with a Mezon 130 even though it's supposed to be good for spikes of 300A, I've read, but still, it's not set up for speed like my DS.

Oh, and by the way, she's back together. Here was one in between, when I was re-adjusting the mounts..

I've never pushed mine that high since it's motor and ESC probably wouldn't handle that headspeed anyway. It's flies so good how it's setup, that I hate to mess with a good thing, but I installed Helix blades, so we'll see how they are.

Thanks!

Thanks for the heads up. I figured since no one is using them for speed, they are probably not the best for it. Just gonna do some testing, then probably go back to my Rails, and put these on the E700. They are a very cool design, for sure.

Nice to see it back together again. Good luck on the re-maiden. Hope the Helix blades work well. They do look good.

Well, I took to another club's fun fly today. I took it easy on the Helix, but probably not the best blade for speed, as I figured. They were not pitchy, at least in FFF, but twitchy. Not a bad flying blade for my style, just different from the Rails in that the Rails are more locked in. So the Rails are back on, and the Helix will go on E700. And the fuse is great! Flies like before, if not better.

Glad to hear it went well. Thanks for the feedback on the Helix blades.

Regards,
Rick

Well, I'm far from an expert, so take it for what it's worth. That's just me. I like the blades though, better than the Cyclones. I'll probably grab some X Blades or maybe another set of DH's.
