Time to part with my Hurri 550

Will be posting a for sale ad this evening or tomorrow for a flybarred 550 with many upgrades and extra parts. It has a HeadHunter frame set, Gaui CNC flybar head, Chaos 600 tail grips and more.

I still have a full flying kit, plus enough parts to build another 2 almost ... so probabily keep flying mine until it can fly no more... just 2 much invested in BNIB parts etc.

There is plenty of parts support for the Hurricane and I think there are a few new kits floating around as well. Also the X5 uses many of the same or compatible parts as the Hurricane.

At some point you could look for an X5 airframe and transfer most of your 550 electronics if you wanted.

If you need a part and its out of stock everywhere, just ask here.

Sorry to be slow to confirm your guess. My flying buddy decided to hold off, he is looking for a FBL setup and your setup did not fit his vision.

I have a spare Gaui 550, and the one I fly, just thinking on selling both.....

So today was a bad day and may spell the death knell of mine.
I had a split 2x3S battery config.. but they were going a bit soft... so I built a connector to fit one of me 3600 6S from my Align 600EFL... however something went wrong ... and the ESC (Hobbywing Platinum 80) let out a lot of smoke.... think it had something to do with the silly person who soldiered the connectors incorrectly and used the wrong heatshrink .. getting poliary confused.

Needless to say now sits a Fly-Barred, ESC-less very old model heli without decent batteries left, trying to decide whether to continue to fly it and fork out money for an ESC.

Whats a good ESC these days anyhow? Basic sport flying etc?
