jr 11x 3s lipo battery with stepdown regulator

Hi guys,
I just got used radio the 11x and I love it. Now I am about to change battery with 3s lipo but with step down regulator to make the peak voltage down to 11v.
My question is ok with it? And if someone using it already , is it still working and giving you any problems so far? Thanks in advance

4.2 x 3 - 11 = 1.6
3.7 x 3 - 9.5 = 1.6
1.6 = two diodes
