Yep. JR 8717 HV's @ 8.4V from a Western Robotics 14S 10amp BEC. Tail servo is an 8900G using a Western Robotics 5.2V regulator. No issues so far.

I use them 8717 HV's and they are incredible servos. I have Futaba BLS in all my others but these are so quick the difference was immediatly noticeable and Im only running them at 6v, cant imagine how they feel on HV.

Only use them as they came with the deal before you ask

what about height, how high is it as the Aurora E just fits in my boot by putting in sideways then standing up.

What do you think would BLS451 be ok for this bird? And have you tried 710mm blades with higher headspeed?

I personally dont think the 451's are up to the kinds of torque the XXtreme will require.

But their (MKS) cyclic HVs aren't specified for flybarless!

@brian94066: Cool! Any date when they'll be available? I'm converting a machine soon, would be an interesting option.
@ClubCRASH: Why not use bls451 / 251? They're standard size and really durable... there're maybe better options but none of them where used that long... and 451 were rated for 2s too lately.

Unfortunately these are limited edition for "pro's" only. Meaning they don't plan to sell them to the public. Totally weird marketing.

I think the Outrage Torq servos would be a good choice as well.

Ok so I had the opportunity this weekend to witness the XXtreme first hand. There is really no way to put into words what this machine sounds like. The videos so far are great but until your standing 15ft away from the XXtreme as Kyle is doing high speed Aileron tic tocs you have not seen anything yet. I don't care how big of a screen you watch the video on or how big of a surround sound system you have you can turn it up as loud as you want and its simply nothing compared to seeing it in person. I really have a hard time explaining it but you can literally feel it in your chest when Kyle comes in close to do any kind of hard stop. Its presence is so pronounced its frightening a few times I had to step back just because I have never seen something of that size perform 3d like that close up (Dave got a good laugh). So back to the sound AMAZING you wont be disappointed but really you have to here it live in person it almost sounds like the sound effects from the movie Transformers at times. And again its incredibly nimble and extremely quick I was just blown away that's all I can say. I was able to get some photos of some parts for size comparison I will post later..Thanks again Kyle and Dave it was truly amazing stuff and I feel for anyone competing against Kyle and this beast..

The XXTreme looks AMAZING. However, not for me just yet. I'll stick to my T-Rex's for a while longer. My reason being that I feel I need to justify having that nice of a heli with my flying. Not quite there yet but pushing for it always. I'm just glad I got to see Kyles latest video. Far and away one of my favorite pilots. My other favorite is Daniel Katzav, another Mikado pilot. Go figure. Maybe I SHOULD get a Logo...
