I sort of forgot about that.I just trimmed a small amount off each front lower edge of the radio tray and it clears fine now.I did not notice it until I seen some small cracks in the stock canopy.

Hmmmm. Wish I'd noticed this earlier. Mine has the little dents where the canopy touches the electronics frame. Need to file that down...

Well after a long sabbatical from flying Helis and being a former min air rep and century rep this looks like the ticket to get me back into flying again
One E640fbl on the way, I'm looking forward to flying it.

Great job century

Yep it has been a great heli.I do not run it as hard as some of you probably do but I do put the flights on them.Just make sure and disassemble the preassembled items as it states in the manual they are not assembled for use .It is up to you to lube the thrusts and install the proper locktite ect.It is a very easy build on this heli. Take care and enjoy.

Yupp I concur with that nothing will rust in transit.
What blades and cell count etc are u running Dennis ?
I'm no 3d hound but will push it at times.

I am running the new Rotor tech 610FBL blades with RT 95mm tail blades on 10s with the Century 650A 565kv motor and the stock gearing that comes in the kit. My high headspeed is 1925 rpm .Most is flown at 1850. I am no 3D monster either but it still flips on a dime right on deck .Tail holds good in a fast funnel ,tailslid or fast backwards circuits ect.Plus I run a 8 minute flight will still being safely under 70% on my packs. Motor and esc warm, pack ambient.

Good to here I'm running a sk540 with spektrum gear etc.
So what size packs 4000? I was thinking 32/800 5s to start with. I have some 4s packs to goof around with too.
I'm running same motor and stk gearing as well. Think I'll go with 610/20s and 95 tails as well it's a good compromise I think.

Thx for the input.

Opps the packs are 4000mah 30c Spyder packs.I have run several of there packs and have nothing but good feedback.I am running 2 5s packs not the actuall 10s pack as it was not out yet.Head out to the field in the evening with 3 packs and you get a good 24 minutes of air time.

Hacker/jeti 77 3 opto, ion x was pretty much the first 80/90 size electric , made by miniature aircraft. Uses 690/700 blades etc. and yes was a spendy unit.

I'm gonna try the esc in the 640 and see how it works if it doesn't then I'll go the 80hv route.

I'm running the sk540 and it's been suggested I use the power bus addon unit for the current capabilities ?
Anyone else running this setup

Default sk units

was a test pilot of the sk720.. using the 540 now,, always from the start i just used the unit and not the power bus. i run brushless hv servos off it powered by a cc pro bec(run bec at 6s,never 12s. amp rating goes to nill).. never had a problem with the sk units with direct power...

I am running the 720 without the power bus in my 640 also.As for Hacker esc's yes they make a full line of esc's.I keep alot of the smaller ones for the 3d foamy planes ect in stock. Interesting to see if the Older hacker esc will work with the governor in the 540? You just never know!

I've almost got all the parts to finish mine.
Just waiting on the servos, batteries, replacement swashplate and a power bus for the SK-540
