Default Extended boom

Does anyone know a different source for the long boom beside Readyheli?
I woke up too late and they are out of stock.

Hello Victor,

Maybe you can use Hirobo long boom 0304-071 (500mm) and belt 2504-030.
Respectively 4500Y and 1500Y. You will have a 30% discount by ordering it to RC Champ in Japan. You have to send them an e-mail. Very simple. You will be contacted by Masa.

whats wrong with the original boom length? Just wondering what the advantage of a longer boom would be for the lepton.

Try REady heli.. they have extended boom parts n the site. Fins, belts, Boom. I'm just not sure what it does for the heli though...

Regards

Some people say that the Lepton tail is pretty weak (as far as handling goes especially on certain 3D maneuvers). A longer tail boom will give it better tail authority. A longer boom will give the tail better leverage and require less power to swing the heli around.

Wouldnt the 68mm blades be a cheaper option? I hear those fix the weak tail issue.

Looking at the Lepton stock blades, these are the size of the Trex 450 tail blades. I'm getting the 68mm's.

Another option i've heard of is to use the K&B 30/50 blades (85mm) and cut them down to 70mms.

Regards

The idea behind hirobo parts release is to have a bigger heli. It's a stretch kit initially with also longer blades (465mm instead of 425).
