Default Reversing servos messes up 120 ccpm

Hello Everyone,

I'm new to all these new computer radios and mixing. At one time I had a Schluter Heli-boy with a non-computer radio. I'm trying to set up my Trex 450 SE v2 clone. I'm having trouble getting the cyclic and collective servos to work right. The servos are in accordance with the manual. I'm using a Turnigy TGY-9X transmitter. The only one that is wrong is the servo combination is left right cyclic. That is reversed. If I move the stick left the swash plate tilts right. I tried reversing the servo but then it changes the pitch servos. I tried different combinations of reversing but nothing seems to work. One combination everything worked right except all commands were shifted 120 deg. I hope I'm explaining this correctly. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you,
Dennis L.

A bit more info would help.

FB or FBL
If FBL, what type?
Radio ?

However; from your post, it seems your Aileron FUNCTION is reversed. Some radios provide AFR (automatic function rate) or something similar. If your swash is NOT set to one servo 90°, (like for FBL) you'll notice Ail, Elev and Pitch with a number and sign to each of them. Usually 50 to 60% either positive or negative.

Leaving the same numerical value and changing the polarity will reverse that specific function.

There are two types of reversing. Servo reversing and swash mix reversing.

"Odd man out" when doing initial collective works out the servo reversing.

If after "odd man out", elevator should tilt swash forwards and backwards (irrelevant if it's reversed or not). If elevator does not tilt swash forwards and backwards then servo order is wrong.

"Left/Right" "Front/Back" "Up/Down" reversing is done with swash mix reversing.

This gets swash to move as required.

3GX video referenced is the first in a series of 4. The 3GX FBL requires transmitter 120 CCPM mixing so the "Freddy can Fly" series on it is a good reference for this type of setup.

Hope this helps.

Thanks Everyone that responded. I was able to figure it out. It was a simple matter of swapping the servo plugs for the pitch and the aileron servo. After that I was able to get it light on its skids for the first time.
