Gecko Tape
http://www.amazon.com/egrips-Clear-A...rds=gecko+tape
I wanted to share this. I put this on the battery tray and strap the battery down with a scorpion strap and it won't move a mm. No more velcro on my batteries I have to wrestle with to get them out of the heli. |

I too stopped using Velcro on my batteries a few years ago. My batteries are now stock naked. I never considered the Gecko Tape option, mainly because I did not know about its existence. I found another thread discussing this Gecko Tape.
I use something similar. I use http://www.amazon.com/3M-Microfoam-T...crofoam+tape+3, but it can be pretty expensive. They come in different width rolls. I like using it in combination with the Hobby King 4mm thick peel-n-stick double sided foam tape for vibration dampening. This is how I installed it on a T-Rex 550. Here, I have it installed in my Whiplash. Here I have it installed in a Synergy without the 4mm thick double sided tape. I used a double layer. I have also just used black electrical tape over the 4mm thick foam tape. It works well, but the 3M Microfoam tape sticks to the batteries a little better. I believe one of the guys in the RCHN podcast also uses the Gecko Tape with success.

Thanks for posting this Steve. I bought a used blade 360cfx with it already on. I simply thought that's what's on the new helis these days. I think its quite "masterful". S O M U C H better than velcro!
