I wouldn't use the DS821's.

If you are looking for a good 'budget' servo, I recommend the Hyperion DS20 FMD or the slightly-more-expensive coreless motor DS20X SMD.

I've been flying the DS20 FMD in my Knight 3D with great results.

Oh Yaaa! This is the video I have been waiting to see. I love it. An internal combustion engine powering a helicopter with adequate power and no smoke pouring out of it.
I am putting this heli on my Christmas list right now.

Yeah it looks more powerfull then i was even hopeing for.you can tell it's heavy in the tick tocks but man it pulls pitch like a 90 and those rocket launches were awesome, I think this heli will be perefect for my style of flying, can't wait till mine gets here on monday.the stk 6/1 gearing is actaully to high for the motor, with the century pipe it likes 13000 13800 rpms and with the 6/1 gears it is actually lugging the motor, bill say's there is 6/4 and 6/9 gearing for it soon witch will put it right in the power at 2150HS with 6/4 and 2000HS with 6/9, i think i will go for the 6/4 gears myself.so that vid with the stk gears and a new motor not even broke in yet should be able to be improved on

I like it!

I know nitros are challenging to tune (change of temp during the day, change of moisture in the air etc make them high maintenance from what I've read).... how will this gasser compare? Easier, same?

Love the cheap, long flight times.

I wonder how this will fly compared to Trex 600 - or better yet a 450 Pro like I have. I know it wont be as agile, but it could he an excellent option for a smooth flying heli - thoughts?

I might have to get one of these along with a Flybarless set up next year when more FBL options are out there.

Nice!

My dream heli is hear, a 50 size Gasser.

I already own a spektra G and was looking at a 50 nitro,( Note WAS) I love my 90 size Gasser to bits and once you get used to the low flying chain saw noise the flying style of gassers are really relaxing. As soon as i've got the money i'm ordering one

just curious........does Century make the 6.42 gear set? Will this heli be 3D capable if left stock? If Century does not make the gearset , who does?

Century makes the gearset. If you go back a few posts, the first video posted (the flight without the canopy) is with the stock gearset. Definitely 3D capable.

Oh, and here's the 6.42 flight without the thumpy music.

Hi max
just a quick point, make sure you run your Heli on fully synthetic oil from day one. One of the guys on the minair forums ran his trm g23puh on mineral oil and it destroyed his engine completly
just a heads up

thanks for tip.
I'm useing the same oil that i use in my dirt bikes ,witch is full synthetic.going ot start at 32 /1 for breakin, i will leave it there if it doesn't mind.
I always figure a little extra oil is cheap compared to a engine rebuild. And i know on my dirt bikes it doesn't seam to affect the power, the only time i lean down my ratio in the dirt bike is when woods rideing at low rpm, helps keep it from loading up so throttle response is quicker, but with the heli it will be screaming all the time so if it runs good at 32/1 all the better.

Why does mineral oil destroy the engine?
