Southern Rotary Classic 2013, best funfly in the Southwest

Hello Everyone, this years Southern Rotary Classic will be held on the 3rd weekend of September, which is September 20th through 22nd.
Last year was fantastic and another wonderful event is planned for this year.

There may be older funflies or bigger funflies, but no one has more fun at funflies then we do at the SRC

So look forward to having a fun event as usual along with a lot of top pilots, great prizes and a great nightfly line up. Each year we add new twist to the event and this year is no exception.

Yes Alan, same venue, the place is actually growing on me some, especially for the night time activities. However if we find another field BETTER then this one, we have no problems changing but for now, same venue.

Just my opinion, but last year was the best SRC since 07. Hopefully we can make this year even better.

SRC in 2011 was the very first heli fun fly I ever attended and it was great. 2012 was even better. Looking forward to 2013 at the same venue, it has worked well especially with the concession/restroom facilities.

Hello Everyone, it is time to pick up the pace and start generating some excitement for this years upcoming SRC.

We already have a list of great hot shot pilots planning to come. Some great contest planned and some fantastic night flying. I am always looking for new ideas in how to make the event better.

Trying to get more great prizes like we had last year and doing some things to make the field better as well. It is lining up to be best SRC we had in years, and last year was fantastic!

Hi Guys

It is time to start generating some more excitement toward this year's SRC event in September. We already got a number of top pilots headed this way and will have some nice prizes for our pilot give ways.

We are starting preregistration at the our SRC web site. www.southernrotaryclassic.com
The website has not changed from last year except to change to 2013 and open up the preregistering which is the big red box in the middle that says preregister

Those that preregister will be able to get a lot of nice prizes ONLY for them. And if enough people preregister, I might give away something nice at the Saturday morning pilots meeting like we did in previous years.

The more people that preregister the more prizes we will put in the preregister raffle. The general raffle will have some nice prizes also which will be open to everyone and you will also be able to donate for addition raffle tickets for those prizes, but not the preregister, the only way to get those prizes is of course preregistering.

WOW, this really seems like a slow summer. Really is guys, not sure why either.

However our event is picking up steam for sure. I am working on deals to get at least 3 to 4 helicopters to give away at the event. A lot of prizes in the preregister and if you don't preregister you will not be a able to win them.

No extra tickets can be bought or given out for the preregister but there will also be a main raffle for prizes at the end of of the day, possibly a couple of really nice helis. However, to get a preregister prize you DO HAVE to BE THERE at the time they are given away but you DO NOT HAVE TO BE THERE at the end of the day to get a raffle prize you have donated money for. When the deals become final I will post more info on that.

Hello Everyone, the SRC is just 6 weekends away and things are starting to pick up speed. We will be doing some great nightflying Friday and Saturday nights under the lights. We are also thinking of some kind of either pizza or cookout for Saturday night as well.

We are also planning some new interesting contest for this year. Some nice prizes to be given away and I going to give away something nice Saturday morning at the pilots meeting to one pre registered pilot.

We have over 30 people that are sign up to come and that does not include all the DFW guys, (come on guys wake up) the party is going to be kicking in just a few more weeks.

Someone is going to get some nice prizes from the preregister but you will only get these if you sign up at the SRC website.
